Renmin Gongyuan, or the People’s Park, is just a block barely southwest of Tianfu Square. Full of vegetation and shade, it is a great place to beat the heat, play cards, or just lay about with friends or family. It can be crowded like most parks in China, but look for Heming loft and you might be able to find a little privacy. In the northwest corner Zhen Liu Teahouse is as relaxing and shady a setting as any place in Chengdu. Chengdu elders play mahjong and a card game known as "Dou Di Zhu" while sipping myriad varieties of tea. Try to visit during the week to beat even larger weekend crowds. 

 

 

 

 

This restaurant is new in chengdu, but it becomes really popular among people, especially young people. The first I heard of it is frome one of my friend, her boyfriend and she went there together, she said it's very very impressive about hiw good is the environment and the service, but I didn't take IT very serious. After a few weeks later, I surfed on the Internet and saw it accidentally, and I found it quite interesting. So I went there with my good friends, IT was Sunday, very crowded, there was a long queue. We queued about one hour to sit in front of the table ,but it  was worthwhile when the food was served on the table. It's  famous for the quiet environment and beautiful decoration, and not very expensive price. I highly recommend this restaurant to you all.

Seda is located in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in the northeast  of Sichuan province, on the border of Sichuan and Qinghai Province. it is a Tibetan animal husbandry county.
Seda in Tibetan language means gold horse. in the history ,a gold horse was unearthed. before the year 2002, there were no roads to access, so it remained a primitive life .
Seda town is located northwest of the most remote corner of Sichuan province. it has complex topography, wide prairie, latitude rivers,swamps, and high mountains, the altitude is  over
4000meters. the temperature is low , long winter without summer
the famous Seda Wuming Buddhism Institude is here, 20km away from the county town .

Local legend claims this area is the manifestation of a yellow dragon after its victory over a demon. In fact, Huanglong got its color from the terraced land, where water, containing rich Calcium Carbonate, flows down from the higher part of the mountain.  After millions of years of geographical sedimentation and natural oxidation, various types of sedimentary rocks are formed under the water, and from afar, looks like a yellow dragon lying in water. Hence, its name “Huanglong – Yellow Dragon”.
Huanglong, a smaller, isolated version of Jiuzhaigou, is famed for its mountainous landscapes, colorful pools of limestone formations, diverse forest ecosystems, as well as waterf alls and hot springs. The Huanglong area also has a population of endangered animals, including the giant panda and the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey.
Unlike Jiuzhaigou, the Huanglong valley is filled with fascinating limestone formations formed by the water that constantly flows from the melting snow of the surrounding mountains. Xuebaoding, the main peak of the snow-capped Minshan, rising 5,588m above sea level, is covered in snow all year-round.  As the attitude here is high (at around 4,000 meters), we will take a cable car and take short walks around the park to conserve energy.

Hailuogou is located in Sichuan Province in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Gongga Mountain, the eastern margin of the Tibetan plateau slope.

Hailuogou Glacier is the lowest elevation glacier in East Asia;with 2850m above the sea level, it is the closest from big city(451 km away from Chengdu about 6 hours drive) ,it is the easiest to access among all modern oceanic glaciers.

Hailuogou has natural springs, in winter time, you can stay in the warm spring and watch the snow mountain at the same time.

Shangli Old Town is an ancient water town 20 km away from the Ya'an Bifengxia Panda Breeding Center. Surrounded by mountains and water, Shangli Old Town is noted for its evergreen trees, delicate hillocks, wooden resident houses, stone-paved streets, pagodas, ancient archways, caves,  prings, and ancient stone bridges. The environment here is well protected, and the sites and scenery retain the ancient style. Shangli Old Town is listed as one of  the 10 most pretty Ancient towns in Sichuan by the provincial cultural relics bureau.

"Tibetan mystery" is a pure Tibetan style large singing and dancing performances on stage. "Peacock Princess" Yang Liping,who is the top dancer of China from a minority of Bai people of Yunnan province, and "Tibetan king" Rongzhong'Erjia jointly cooperated to make this fantastic Tibetan dancing show. It shows Mainly in song, dance, instrumental performance, situational Tibetan life, folk custom, religious ritual art form as the main body. It depends on the main line of Tibetan old mother pious pilgrimage path , what she has seen on the way such as:performance of the Tibetan people, folk custom, religious ceremony scene and so on. All the costume are made according to the real Tibetan clothing style. and the actors are all chosen by Yangliping and Rongzhongerjia, some of them are found on the grassland when they are pasture with yaks. The show is the easiest way to know about Tibetan culture in a short time when you are in Jiuzhaigou.

Jinjiang Theater is located exactly in the city centre, the opposite site of Chunxi Road,  right behind the famous shopping mall--Wangfujing Department Store. It's the place where you can enjoy the performance about Sichuan culture. There are several fantastic programs included in the show, such as  traditional Sichuan Opera, face-changing, fire-spitting, oil-lamp rolling as well as hand-shadow show, Chinese traditional dance and traditional musical instrument-Erhu performance(2 strings). The performance lasts for an hour and a half. You will be astonished by the face-changing performance.

Note: Do not worry  that you can't understand the language when you watch the performance. There are 2 small screens at each side of the stage with English explanations to help with language barrier. Besides, Sichuan opera is the one that audiences can  easily understand  the show by  performers' body languages(gesture, expressions,eye-contact)
