Covering 770 square meters with a parterre, a square and a lake, the park includes five main parts: Monument to Martyrs in Huaihai Campaign, Memorial of the Campaign, Statue of the Five Generals, National Defense Education Museum, and Steles.

     Facing to the south, the Monument is situated on the slope of th e hill, standing in the axes of the park with a height of 38.15 meters. The gold-plating inscriptions by Chairman Mao are set in the front of the monument, which is enclosed by cloisters and pavilions. In the marble wall of the south and north cloisters, the inscriptions by the leaders and the names of the martyrs are engraved. The relief sculptures on the base of the monument depicts the grand scenes of the battlefields of the Huaihai Campaign.

 

 

淮海战役烈士纪念塔：一九五九年四月四日由国务院决定在江苏省徐州市兴建，一九六○年四月五日奠基，一九六五年 十月一日建成开放。淮淮战役烈士纪念塔座落在徐州市南郊凤凰山东麓，高三十八点一五米，面向朝阳，巍然耸立。塔向耸立。塔身正面，镶嵌着毛泽东主席亲笔题 词：“淮海战役烈士纪念塔”九个镏金大字。上端雕刻着由五角星照耀下相交的两支步枪和松籽绸带组成的塔徽。塔座正面镌刻着碑文，两侧为大型浮雕，右侧是人 民解放军一往无前的英雄形象，左侧是人民奋勇支前的壮丽情景。塔下角亭环抱的围廊里，镌刻着党和国家领导人题词及三万多名烈士名录。塔前有宽敞的平台和长 二百五十米，宽三十一米的十跑一百二十九级台阶，步下台阶是直径一百五十米的园林中心广场。巍然矗立在徐州南郊凤凰山下的淮海战役烈士纪念塔，不仅是光荣 历史的见证，也是激励后人的丰碑。1948年11月6日至1949年1月10日，中国人民解放军在以徐州为中心的广大地区进行了伟大的淮海战役，徐州人民 全力以赴支援前线，与解放大军并肩浴血奋战，为夺取淮海战役的伟大胜利，为解放全中国奠定了胜利的基础。

淮海战役碑林 :淮海战役碑林位于园林 西北站，占地2万平米，由碑亭、碑墙、碑廊、碑室等组成。布局严谨、错落有致，规模宏磊。主碑重150吨，其正面和背面分别镌刻着毛泽东主席的“人民的胜 利”和“关于淮海战役作战方针”的手稿，500多幅碑刻中汇集了老一辈无产阶级革命家的墨宝，党和国家领导人的题词、参战部队及老将军、老战士的题咏和海 内外书法名家不凡之作，具有极高的观赏价值和艺术价值。

徐州国防园:徐州国防园位于园林南部，一期工程占地2万平米，由国防教育馆、兵器陈列场、模拟训练场、军体活动 场组成。国防教育馆内设有国防教育厅和电教厅等，五个展厅，通过大量实物、图片和高科技设施，使观众既可学习国防知识，又可亲自参加各种军体模拟活动。园 名由刘华清同志题写。淮海战役烈士纪念塔园林占地77万平米，分别有东、北南门。园林内有淮海战役烈士纪念塔、纪念馆，总前委群雕，国防园和淮海战役碑林 五大主体建筑，及青年湖、青年广场、中心花坛、粟裕将军骨来撒放处和胡耀邦同志植树处等景点。园林风景秀美，树木葱郁，芳草依依，百花争艳，是闻名遐迩的 革命纪念地和风景游览区。这里先后被国务院批准为全国重点烈士纪念建筑物保护单位；民政部命名为全国爱国主义教育基地；国家教委等六部委命名为全国中小学 爱国主义教育基地；中宣部命名为全国爱国主义教育示范基地。

淮海战役纪念馆:淮海战役纪念馆与淮海战役烈士纪念塔同时兴建，陈毅元帅题写馆标。馆内面积2800平米，陈列 分正厅、序言、战役实施、人民支前、缅怀先烈五个部分，共展出珍贵的革命文物、历史照片2000余件。这些革命文物是淮海战役胜利的历史记录。展览文物丰 富，重点突出，布局合理，设备先进。
