It's been a great trip with Jon and Mr Yang. Prompt in replies and very helpful throughout the trip. We've witness the beauty of Lijiang and trekking at the Tiger Leaping Gorge is truly memorable. Thanks to both, we've had an amazing trip!

When I planned my trip to Yunnan, I contacted a few local guides in the area and Jon stood out among them. He was very professional and patient and not pushy at all. He replied to all my inquiries immediately and offered many different itineraries based on my interests. Even when I told him I only wanted to hire a private car with no guide, he continued to assist me in all my questions. He's super friendly and extremely knowledgeable in the tourism business. While I was in Lijiang, I contacted Jon in hope that he could provide a good car and driver for me and he did not disappoint. It was a last minute decision on my part and Jon came through. The price was reasonable, the car was very clean and comfortable, and the driver was friendly, talkative, and informative. Jon is definitely the person to go to with any questions about traveling in China. I highly recommend him!

We have an unforgettable flowery vacation recently in combination with Lijiang and Dali. We had the pleasure of having Jon and his colleague as our tour guide and driver for a couple of days in March 2016.

Jon is a friendly guy and fluent in English, he has designed a beautiful little Yunnan itinerary for our trip. He took us to places full of cultural heritage and far away from the touristy stuffs. The trip was filled up with nice blooming flowers, picturesque landscape and various ethnicity costumes and culture. The cosy old towns of Shuhe, Shaxi, Weishan and Dali, are pleasant and interesting.

Jon managed to organize good and authentic places for us to try the local dishes and snacks. His patience in explaining all the informative details at every tour spots and allowed us time to fully enjoy the tour experience is much appreciated. We did feel like accompanied by a friend instead of a local tour guide in showing us everywhere. We would like to express our thanks to the driver in this trip for his safe driving and sharing all along, which made everything so pleasurable. We had a marvelous time with them both and can highly recommend Jon to anyone who is looking for a private tour guide in your coming Yunnan trip.
 

We are glad to have Jon as our guide for our trip  on last December 2015 to Lijiang, Shangrila, Deqin, Cizhong and Dali.

Jon is a friendly, knowledgeable and helpful person. During the planning, I did not limit myself to question about the places we might visit. Jon was always willing answer all my question. With his knowledge and experience, he suggest us the best route and places to visit in order to avoid the road block to Deqin. Jon unlike other tour guide, he treat our whole group like friend and family. he have a great sense of humor, which made our trips even more enjoyable. He taught us a lot about the places story, local culture and bought us to taste the local food. 

Besides that, we also would like to thank to the Driver Mr He and Mr Tashi( tour guide arrange by Jon when we are in Shangri-la). Mr He is careful, safe and punctual driver. We had spent a great time with them in Yunnan.

Therefore, we do totally recommend Jon as  tour guide!

Jon provided an excellent one day trip around Lijiang for myself and my girlfriend. Our trip included Snow mountain, Blue Moon Vally and Baishe Village and was one of the best days of our travels through Yunnan. Jon is very knowledgeable about Yunnan and can provide insights into all aspects of culture and events in the province.  He has excellent english and is very personable and enjoyable to be with during an excurion. Our trip was very well paced with little waiting around, and our plan was quite flexible to allow us to see different places during our trip - for example visiting the house of the local celebrity Grandma Liu in Baishe village. Overall excellent.
