Dehong locates in the deeep west of Yunnan, bordering the Kachin State of Myanmmar. It is an open trading gate between China and Myanmmar, mainly trading jade, tropical wood and fruite. With the lovely climate, never too hot in summer, neither too cold in winter, here has great potential of growing economical plants, like fruite, rubber trees, coffe and more.

  Dehong is considered to be the town of peacock, in ethnique Dai People's heart, with the beautiful palm trees like the tail of peacocks, and even the clouds in the sky looks like peacocks.

  Besides Dai, there also lives variety of ethnique people, like Jingpo, Achang, Wa People, etc. All of them have very interesting premitive culture, with interesting festivals, colorful dresses, and lots of food made by pure natural material, which has very very interesting flavor.

 It still remains as one of the remotest region in Yunnan Province, with lots of nature, mysterious culture and you can tell people are so eager to learn and share.

There are daily flights from Kunming to Mangshi, or buses from West Bus Terminal in Kunming.

Baishui Deck (White water Deck)is one of the biggest calcareous tufa spring terraces in the world,located in baidi village in the southeast of Shangrila county,it is 105 kilometer alway from the county seat,the calcium bicarbonate solved in the water deposit to from the terrace of nearly 200mu.there are five scenic spots in all:silver pearls magic flower,Mirror Reflecting the sky,filed left behind by the fairy,fariy showing power and Dragon in silver Water,legend goes that Dingbashenluo,the patron saint of dongba religion once practiced the religion rules and did missionary work here ,so it is regarded the cradle of dongba religion ,and there is a saying,"he who doesn't worship baidi is not a real dongba follower".

Heshun old town,  a charming old town in china, which was built in Ming dynasty with a history of  600 years .  it was a important stop on the Southern silk road . 

In ming dynasty, The ming government practiced a unique policy in Yunnan :  frontier army farming- Military were send from central China, settle down and do farming in the romote area of the provinces.  many soldiers from central china settled down at Heshun , Those people were educated and was deeply influenced by confucian philosophy and who were open- minded . 400 years ago, people from Heshun Went to Burma and India to do business of Jade,  many of them were very successful business man then returned to home to build many beautiful houses and ancestral temples, because of the western culture inflence,   many of buildings was mixture of china and Europe.   decendents of the Heshun business man now live in more than 10 countries such as India, Burma , Thailand , Indonesia , Singaore, Canada and USA ... With its long history, Heshun is a famous hometown of overseas chinese.

Heshun a living fossil of ancient architecture.   Nearly 1000 old building now still be found in Heshun, 100 of them was built in Qing dynasty,  tradtional building structure such as courtyard (四合院), Zhaobi-  3 house and a reflecting wall（三坊一照壁）.

When you visit  Heshun, you can visit Heshun library which is the biggest village library in China.   you will enjoy the history and the picturesque scenery of this water town in the western Yunnan.

WeiShan ancient city is located in the western yunnan foot of  Mt. Ailaoshan, in the source of  honghe river, it is a city with rich local historical and cultural features, one of  China's famous historical and cultural city, It is also the birthplace of nanzhao kingdom(800AD). it Was built in the Yuan dynasty  and was rebuit into  to a brick city  in the Ming dynasty ,  WeiShan had the Longest Local chief system.  its long history gave birth to the many temples,  Old temple Combines with spectacular natural landscape from afar bring out the best in each other.
