The Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum was built for memory of the salvation in Shanghai .

After  War II broke out in  Europe in the 1930s,there were more than 20,000 Jews fled their homes to find a refuge for their to stay in Shanghai. Now the museum displays many halls and galleries about Jewish art.

Suzhou Creek (also called Wusong R iver) is a river in China that passes through the Shanghai city centre.It's one of the important outlets of Lake Tai, Suzhou Creek has a length of 125km,the river flows into the Huangpu River at the northern end of the Bund. After the Treaty of Nanjing forced China to open up in1842 and Shanghai became a important trade port.The river dormed the boundary between the British comcession and America settlement until both concessions were merged into the International Settlement in 1863...............

 

Taikang Road is a peculiar street full of art tinge in Shanghai. On this 400m long street are rows of art galleries, collection houses, sculpture workshops, photography studios, pottery workshops, woodcarving workshops, etc. Each piece of artwork in the shop will tempt you to buy, and visitors who are fond of painting can stroll around here.

Lane 210, Taikang Road is called Tianzifang, which is the kernel of this art street. Many famous artists, such as Chen Yifei, Er Dongsheng and Huang Yongyu, have their own studios here. Designers and artists from over 20 countries, including America and Australia, have also come to set up their studios. Tianzifang has become an iconic art district now, where the old and the fad fuse while the bustle and the life harmonize.

Take metro No.line 8 from People's square Station to Yaohua Road Station.

It was located in the Hongqiao area where are  most foreigners living in Shanghai! It's a big shopping more which not only sell different kinds and stylish pearls boy also have many different shps for selling clothes, shoes,silks....     It  is close to Hongqiao airport. The oppsite is Hongmei Pedestrain Street where have many wesern restaurants ,bars,clubs.... It's a nice place for shopping and entertainment!

Take metro line1 from People's Square to South Shaanxi Road then change line10 to Longxi Road Station, walking about ten minutes will arrive!
