Istiqlal Mosque is also called Masjid Istiqlal which would in English mean the Independence Mosque. This is a huge and a beautiful building which can receive approximately 120,000 people. In fact, it is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. The construction of the mosque was planned in order to celebrate the Indonesian independence from The Netherlands. Indonesia finally gained independence in 1949.

After 17 years long construction period, the mosque was finally finished in 1978. Having in mind that the Mosque was built in the second half 20th century its design corresponds to more contemporary architecture. There are seven entrances to the Mosque that has two floors (ground floor and the first floor). There are many columns built inside and in the courtyard which serve not only as a construction support but also as a decoration.

Even though some think that the building itself doesn´t correspond to the Indonesian style because it is too modern and some of its elements remind of Arabic style rather than Indonesian there have been many respectable people from all over the world in this mosque.

Pura Kehen has a long history which last for eleven centuries. It consists of eight terraces and it is turned towards the sun. This temple is the temple of the fire and Brahmen protects the temple. 38 steps climb towards the entrance while guardian statues follow these steps. The guardian statues are in fact wayang characters from Ramayana story. After the entrance one can walk across the courtyard. After the second courtyard one enters the holiest courtyard which is called jeroan. Jeroan is home to meru with 11 roofs that is dedicated to the protector God of the temple. Smaller merus are seen around. This courtyard is also home to the throne built for Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu. Besides these principal temple features one can spend a lot of time looking at numerous details carved in stone.
People who visit temple are advised to dress appropriately and if they don´t have adequate clothes there is a possibility to take a sarong in order to enter the temple.

Jagatnatha Temple is a beautiful Hindu Temple and a landmark of Denpasar. This is the largest temple in the town. There are several constructions pertaining to this complex. Padmasana is the central, ie main building. Altar of Sang Hyang Anataboga is located in main temple as well as the well which serves for taking holy water. The twin canopies serve to put the statue in processions.

Komodo National Park was established in 1980 in order to protect the Komodo dragon and its habitat. Since 1986 the Park is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and a Man and Biosphere Reserve. It is located within the Wallacea Region. 5,700 giant lizards which can also be aggressive live on these islands and that is why they are called dragons. The three larger islands within the national park are the Komodo, Rinca and Padar. Other than giant lizard, these islands are home to many other animal and plant species such as coral reefs, samounts, seagrass, over 1,000 fish species, sponges, sharks, whales, dolphins, turtles…

Kerta Gosa Hall of Justice was constructed in the 17th century. It forms a part of the Puri Samarapura palace in Klunkung. It was considered as the supreme court of justice of Bali. At that period, three priests were responsible for decision making about convictions of the prisoners. There Brahmana priests were known as harsh and rigorous.

The palace was severely damaged by the Dutch in the early 20th century. The Hall of Justice remained the best preserved part of the palace and today it attracts many visitors. 

This building is built in typical Balinese style. Its ceilings are decorated with wayang style paintings which are characterized by the traditional Balinese figures inspired by the famous Hindu epics. These paintings were made on textile and describe spiritual teaching and guidance. The most famous painting here are the paintings of Puri Kerta Gosa.

Both sides of the bridge that leads to the floating hall, Bale Kambing, are decorated with statues that symbolize the characters from the old epics.

This temple complex is considered to be the most important Hindu temple in Bali. It was constructed on the south side of Mount Agung, a Balinese volcano in the 14th century. It is surrounded by the beautiful natural sites which make its existance even more beautiful. This temple is considered the holiest on Bali because the first revelation of Hyang Rsi Markendy (Balienes Hindu God) happened here.
Since it is built on a volcano hill the complex is built on terraces to which lead steps. The main sanctuary is a lotus throne located in the Pura Penataran Agung which is also the main sanctuary of the complex.

Kawah Ijen or Ijen Crater is volcano which has the largest acided lake in the world, about 20 Km wide and the volume of the crater proximately around 36 cubic hectometres (29,000 acre•ft).

The summit of ijen crater is about 2.799 meter high,  it took and effort for peoples to reach at the top. Mostly it take  two-hour hike is required to reach rim of the crater (1.5 kilometers) from the summit, and 45 minutes to hike down to the bank of the crater, a guide necessary.

The caldera or the lake of Kawah Ijen harbors  has turquoise colored, the color it came from acidic crater lake that leaks sulphurous gases constantly then mix the the water spring that come of from bottom of crater area.

at Nigh the hot gases burn out to emit an amazing blue glow unique color  in some part of the bottom of crater, it well known as "Blue fire" pure fire that emerge beneth the earth.

the blue fire emerge because the gases and also liquid sulphur emerge from the cracks in the volcano come up with high pressure and temperature (up to 600°C) and when it contact with the air suddenly it ignite and burn  as it flows down the slopes among the pipe giving the feeling of blue lava flowing.

Kawah ijen is becoming very well known in the world, as the only one natural blue fire. But not many peoples know that actually ijen is not only amazing touristic destination. From Dutch colonial age, Kawah Ijen is work place for sulphur miner.

The liquid sulphur that leaking from beneath the earth channeled through a network ceramic-steal pipe line, the liquid with bright red color molten, pours slowly through ceramic-steal pipelines, then end of on the ground and liquid sulphur mix with Oxygen it condense instantly then change the color becoming bright yellow when it cools down.

All then miner have to break the yellow cooled sulphur into pieces, the nearby crater in very dense of sulfuric smoke (gas) that emerge of crater which can make peoples hardly to breath and also make the eyes itchy. The miner have to deal with such harsh enviromment an able to collect sulfur put in the their bamboo basket and carried it down the hills. Mostly the miner carried weight of basket up to 60 Kg - 100 kg and they carried it twice a day.

The miner carried it down, weight it up at post point, then the officer (from private company) note how much they carried in their basket, every 1 kg of sulfur paid for 800 - 900 IDR.

The workers work in extremely hazardous condition with insufficient protection. Most of them suffers from numerous respiratory problems due to breathing toxic fumes day in and out. At times they work at night under to escape the heat of the sun, and to earn extra income.

The greatest acid lake which is lays in the peak of Ijen Mountain in East Java, Indonesia. Contain a natural beauty which created by the force of nature for century.
