Located in the southern slope of merapi volcano,the name of the village "kinahrejo", before it was actually a peaceful village, but after effected by the merapi eruptions in 2010 and destroy whole village and also causes the previous merapi guardian " mbah marijan" pass away, in 2011 when the volcano eruption was over, supported by goverment and by its potentially the local people open this area for tourism,they started to provide the off road motorbike, 4 wheels drive jeep to take visitors to explore the ruin villages, river canyon and to see merapi volcano from closer area(5 kms), you can choose a type of the jeep tours, short trip which is takes arround 1,5 - 2 hours, will be visiting 3 places: a mini museum, alien stone and bungker. Or maybe medium or long trips which are taking about 2-4 hours , during ride a jeep you will feel likes follow professional off road championship with bumpy track,dusty and fun.
If the weather is great, as a bonus you will see the panorama of the merapi volcano as well,feel very close from you!unforgetable memories in jogja.
