Located in the 10km from the east of Guilin city,it is the highest peak of the downtown area.The Yao Emperor Temple was built on the hill during Zhou-Tang period, hence the name of the hill. Yao Moutain is well-known as its dreamy and colorful scenes in different seasons.In spring,the whole hill is spread with azaleas which make the hill more beautiful; In summer,the bamboo trees grow up,like blue forestsea;In autumn,there are red maple,purple cypress and yellow wild chrysanthemum;In winter,there are flying snow and jade-like trees.On the top of hil,looking around, the rice field before hill likes a crystal mirror,the villiage emerges in a charming scene, thousands of hills embrance each other and a river goes through the city. By taking a chair lift ride, you can travel to the top of the mountain in comfort where you can enjoy picturesque views. At the summit, you can glimpse a huge natural reclined Budda, enjoy the bird view of the whole Guilin city. In addition, You can also take the slidway half way of the moutain to the mountain foot.

It grew out of the former Xinhe Spinning Mill, a Zhou-family enterprise and a representative of the merchants from Huizhou prefecture of Anhui province. It was renamed Xinhe Cotton Mill, Shanghai No.12 Woolen Mill and Shanghai Chunming Roving Factory after liberation.

Xima Terrace was built to commemorate General Xiang Yu who lived at the end of the Qin dynasty.Originally Xima Terrace was a place for General Xiang Yu to inspect his soldiers and cavalry.

Many temples and pavilions have been built here over the last 2000 years and it has become a place for men of letters to speculate and study history.

Xima Terrace was rebilit in 1985.It covers about 7525 square meters with a building area of more than 2000 square meters.Fengyun Pavilion(Pavilion of Wind and Cloud) in the center divides the complex into front and back parts.The front section consists of east and west yards.There are rich historical materials and vivid murals in the six exhibition rooms of the two yards,which reveal Xiang Yu's whole life and his military career from his heyday to his defeat.

It is the place in which the second king of Nanyue Kingdom"zhaomei" was buried.it was one of five wonders in the chinese archaeological discoveries with a history of 2100 years.It tells the people how Guangzhou was like in thounds years ago .
 

it is in the center of the city.the most convinient way to get there is to take NO2 Metro to Yuexiu park.It is about 200 meters from there.
