I chose Vivie as my tour guide in Beijing because of the praise she has received in the reviews on this website. All of these reviews are well deserved. Vivie is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, reliable and helpful. I had just read John Man's book on the Great Wall of China and I considered myself well informed on the topic, but Vivie had so much more useful and interesting information to share.

Not only is Vivie a great guide and safe driver, she also coordinated a fantastic two day and one night trip to the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall all for a very reasonable price.

I wish I had arranged for Vivie to guide me for my outings to the other sights of Beijing.

We did a tour with Vivie on 7 December 2010 to the Ming Tombs and the Great Wall and she was absolutely superb! She was very knowledgable and told us many interesting facts about not only what we were seeing but facts about China as well. She was also so sweet and helped us book tickets to a Kung-Fu show later that evening and even met with us at the show to give us our tickets. She went the extra mile and we really appreciated it. She was an excellent tour guide and we highly recommend her!

Vivie was our driver/guide for a one day trip to the Mutianyu Great Wall and Ming Tombs. She picked us up and returned us to our hotel, so it was very convenient. Vivie was most gracious about sharing her personal life story with us as we drove from site to site. She was such a delight to be with, full of energy. Her English is very good both verbally and written. She owns a new Hyundai Elantra and takes very good care of it. She is a very safe driver.

The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is not as heavily traveled by tourists, so we had a great time there. It was about an hour ride from downtown Beijing to Mutianyu. It was beautiful, quiet, and most of all, impressive. It was late fall, so it was cool, but still very enjoyable. We went up the middle section, riding in a enclosed cable car. It is very high, and the return trip was breathtaking. You could spend hours on the wall walking or enjoying the solitude. After about an hour on the wall, we were ready to move on.

To get to the Ming Tombs, we had another hour or so ride through some spectacular countryside. We passed through several small remote towns which was fascinating. We chose to see the dingling tomb, the only one of the Ming Dynasty Tombs to be excavated.

It was a fun full day. Vivie you were most pleasant and gracious. Thank you very much for everything.

"I had Vivie as my guide in Beijing for two days.  We visited the Ming Tombs, the GreatWall, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and the Olympic venue.  She was very knowledgeable and very professional, very helpful and a wealth of information. She was also a very good and safe driver.  Beyond the guide business, Vivie was also very open and very friendly.  By the time we had finished our two days together, not only did I have a better understanding and appreciation for the culture and historical sites we visited, I also felt that I was leaving a good friend behind in Beijing."

We used her services on Oct. 11-13th. Very satisfied with our choice. She arrange for a pickup service from a Beijing airport, which was a good move . Yes, there are taxi, but we landed in heavy rain, late at night and were able to arrive to hotel with no problem. Next day we travel with her to a great wall and Forbidden City. We decided to use her as a a driver ( brand new Hyundai) and a guide. She was very knowledgeable and flexible in her services. On a day of departure to Xian, we left hotel early and visited Temple of Heaven. keeping luggage in her car and than traveled directally to the airport.

Her cost was very reasonable and services well worthy. Strongly recommended.
