My wife, myself and 7 year old son had the great pleasure in having Vivie as our tour guide for Beijing 14th to 17th October 2010.

Vivie has a very good grasp of the English language and has a great knowledge of all things Chinese.

We visited the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Old Beijing Hutong Area, Tian'anmen Square and the Great Wall.

She made our trip a great experience.

Our recommendation cannot speak highly enough of Vivies services and her patience is a virtue she should treasure.

We all made it back to the US in good shape last week. I want to thank you again for 2 wonderful days in Beijing. Your knowledge and stories of the various historical places were interesting and entertaining. You were even able to keep the kids interested. It will be a trip that John and I will never forget. My mom and some of her friends are thinking about coming to China next year. So I told her I know the perfect tour guide for Beijing.
 

Visiting Beijing by myself after a business trip I decided to splurge by hiring a private guide.

Splurge is an exaggeration as the cost is very reasonable. And the cost for my own guide was less than if I arranged a group tour.

Licensed guides, such as Vivie, receive free admission to all the tourist sites and events. So your cost is just her very reasonable fee.

I wanted a guide who could drive to the Great Wall. I found the taxis not great for comfort or air conditioning.

She has a very interesting life story that I encourage you to ask about if you hire her

Her knowledge is excellent and she communicates very clearly.

On the way back from the Great Wall she chose an excellent and very reasonably priced lunch spot.

I give her my highest recommendation.

Vivie was our driver and guide for a day went we visited Beijing in August 2010.
Her spoken and written english is very good and she is a safe driver.
Her car is in excellent condition as well. Now that the basics are
covered.

Why we think you should hire Vivie as your tour guide. We only had 5
days in Beijing and wanted to see as much as we could and did not want
to waste time 'interviewing taxi drivers' to take us to the great
wall. We also did not want to join a tour group which would take us to
tourist trap Jade stores and what not.

Vivie was able to take us to the great wall AND another sight outside
of Beijing and get us back to beijing with enough time for us to see
another sight. This saved us almost 2 days over that of a tour group.

Also, we went to Beijing to learn more about China, during the hour
plus drive to the great wall Vivie helped my child's Chinese
pronounciation and we learned about modern china and the chinese
people. All of which you would not get from a taxi driver or tour bus
ride.

All in all I recommend her as a tour guide when in Beijing. Also, her
rates are the same as other tour guides who don't even speak english.
