The Dangjia Village is located in Hancheng city, Shaanxi Province. The Village, mainly consisted of two clans of Dang and Jia, has 320 families with a population of over 1400 villages and a history of about 670 years.
"Siheyuan", a courtyard house, is a typical representative of Hancheng's trditional house building in Dangjia Village.
Dangjia Village is the living fossil of the ancient and traditional folk community of the orient mankind.
Walking on the stone-covered alley in the village, one enjoys watching variously great porticos, elegant mounting horse stones and tying-horse rings, imposing and hamonious "Siheyuan", exquisite carving of wood, stones and bricks, the profound carving on the lintel and wall and the relief sculpture.
All of these show an epitome of Chinese culture.
Today, the people of Dangjia Village are still living in their old houses, hard working for protecting the historic sites and developing the economic.
