Daming Palace was built in 634AD that was once called Yongan Palace, which was one of the
three Palaces of Changan City 1,300 years ago. Since the third Emperor Gaozong, there were
total 17 Emperors lived in this Palace. However, due to experiencing lots of wars, the original
magnificent structure of palace was gone. The size of Daming Palace is 4.5times bigger than
Forbidden City. Therefore, if you have visited the Forbidden City in Beijing, you are able to
figure out how huge the Daming Palace was in Tang Dynasty 1,300 years ago.
Nowadays, parts of Daming Palace were rebuilt on the original site of it recently.
