Ten Miles Natural Gallery is one of the best attractions to visit in Zhangjiajie,Walking in this canyon you can enjoy mountain view with trees just like Chinese painting,scenic spots like old man greeting guests/finger peak/family peak/old man gather herbs/three sisters ETC,you can do this 30 minutes hiking for one way or take mini train.The end of this canyon is the beginning of Tianzi mountain climbing where you can find monkey garden.

The ancient town of Fenghuang was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List on March 28, 2008 in the Cultural category.This ancient town was regarded as the most beautiful town in China by New Zealand writer Rewi Alley. It was built in Kangxi forty-three years (1704), and has 300 years of history. The ancient city is a gathering place for Miao and Tujia ethnic minority.

There is a domestic airport at Fenghuang County. It's Only 30 kilometers from the airport to Phoenix Ancient Town. Its name is Tongren Fenghuang Airport (TEN). Former name is Tongren Daxing Airport (TEN). (Changsha and Guiyang have flights go to Phoenix Ancient Town directly everyday.)

The tombs followed a mixture of Western Han Dynasty and Chu burial practices. The tombs were made of large cypress planks. The outside of the tombs were layered with white clay and charcoal; white clay layering was a practice that originated with Chu burials, while charcoal layering was a practice that was followed during the early western Han Dynasty in the Changsha area. The tombs contained nested lacquered coffins, a Chu burial custom. The tombs also followed the burial practices dictated by Emperor Wen of Han, containing no jade or precious metals.
