Chen Clan Academy
Chen Clan Academy (Guangdong Folk Art Museum)is located in Zhong Shan Qi (seven) Road, also named Chen Clan learning Academy. It was built in 16 years of Qing Dynasty Guangxu(1890), and completed in 20 years Guangxu (1894) . Chen Clan Academy sitting in north to south, the overall layout is based on the center axis as the main building.

Shamian Island
Shamian Island was an important port for Guangzhou’s foreign trade from the Song to the Qing Dynasty. From the 18th to the mid-19th century, the foreigners lived and did business in a row of houses known as the Thirteen Factories, near the present Shamian, which was then an anchorage for thousands of boat people.
The island was awarded to the British and French after the Opium Wars and European style architecture abounds here and the colonial influence is evident in houses, villas, churches and tennis courts. The French Catholic Church on the main street of the island is a nice example of the European influence. There is also a lovely park just off the main street.
Temple of Six Banyan Trees
The Temple of Six Banyan Tree is a well-known travel site,also as one of the most famous Buddhist temples in the world with a history spanning over 1,400 years, was built in 537 AD by Master Xiao Yu during the Liang Dynasty (502-557). It is a world famous Buddhist temple, which was destroyed by fire in the 10th century and was rebuilt in 989. The temple was renamed the Purification Wisdom Temple after it was rebuilt.
Sacred Heart Cathedral of Guangzhou
The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus also known as Sacred Heart Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Guangzhou (Canton), South China. It is the seat of the Archbishop of Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Guangzhou (Canton).
The cathedral is located at 56 Yide Lu (or Yat Tak Road), Guangzhou. It is on the north bank of the Pearl River and stands at the heart of the busy old town.
Zhenhai Tower (Yuexiu Park)
Zhenhai Tower was built in 1380. It is also named five-storied tower because of its five-storied structure. In front of the tower are inscriptions from various dynasties, and on the right side are 12 ancient cannons. It was turned into Guangzhou Municipal Museum in 1929, displaying the cultural relics of Guangzhou of different dynasties, which went through more than 2000 years. In 1950, it changed its name into Guangzhou Museum.
Guangzhou Pearl River Cruise
It is good to get on a ship and enjoy the spectacular view of Guangzhou and the Pearl River by night. From Guangzhou there are dozens of luxurious cruises tours which visitors may take to spend special night trips on the Pearl River. Visitors will see many scenic spots and gorgeous buildings on the banks, such as Bai’etan Lake, Shamian European-style Buildings, the Canton Customs House, the Chigang Road and Pazhou Tower; the night scene on the Pearl River is almost on a par with Victoria Harbor in Hong Kong. There will also be buffet meals, singing and dancing shows and a professional tour guide for the trips.
Beijing Lu Pedestrian Street
Beijing Lu, one of Guangzhou’s most famous pedestrian streets, was once a road regularly used by government officials in ancient China. In the center of the street you will see two underground archeological sites showing that this road has existed here for nearly a thousand years. There are many other shopping sections that are more local, but this is the one for the tourists.

Shangxia Jiu Lu Pedestrian Street
Shangxia Jiu Lu Pedestrian Street is located in the Liwan District of Xiguan, a prosperous traditional commercial district. It is the first commercial pedestrian street in Guangzhou. Walking into this street, you will see the featured Qi Lou, an old building style that exists in Guangzhou and its neighboring areas, on both sides of the road. It reflects the strong Lingnan Culture. On this street lie more than 200 stores, especially those brand name restaurants and teahouses open here. From 13:00 to 21:00 on weekends and holidays and on every night, Shangxia Jiu Lu is restricted to pedestrians only.
Be sure to go to Shangxia Jiu Lu. Even if you don’t buy anything, just walking along this street you will feel the cultural atmosphere in the street with Qi Lou on both sides.

Guangzhou Tower also known as Canton Tower is a new TV tower in China , which ranks with its overall height of 610m to the highest buildings in the world. It is located in the southeastern part of the country, in Guangdong Province in Guangzhou .
Guangzhou Tower is an observation tower near Chigang Pagoda, Haizhu, and Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. It was topped-out in 2009 and became operational on September 29, 2010 for the 2010 Asian Games. The tower briefly held the title of tallest completed tower in the world, replacing the CN Tower, which had previously held the title for 34 years, before being surpassed by Tokyo Sky Tree in 2011. It is still the tallest structure in China (followed by Shanghai World Financial Center), the Canton Tower is the seventh tallest structure and the third tallest freestanding structure in the world. It is named after “Canton”, the traditional European name of the city.

Genyen is the highest mountain in Shaluli Range. It is a holy place for many Tibetan people. Genyen Massif is located south to Litang and 800km west to Chengdu. Genyen is one of the most wild and unexplored parts of China that few people have explored. It is home to many kinds of species, plants, and highland turquoises lakes, unsummited peaks, hot springs, hidden monasteries and the original nomads people.

Xinduqiao is located on the famous national highway 318 80km west to Kangding. It is an intersection of Danba, Mount Gongga, Kangding and Litang/Daocheng. There are no distinct landmarks or specific attractions in Xinduqiao but it is called “paradise for photographers” due to its beautiful forest in different colors. Local Tibetan houses are with quite special style: big houses usually with 3 floors, big white walls and red gates. All house are built with stones. From Xinduqiao you can see Mount Gongga. Another less known name of Xinduqiao is called East Eluo.
Xinduqiao is located 80km west to Kangding and the best way is to drive. The Kangding Airport is located 30km east to Xinduqiao. There is now scheduled bus from Kangding to Xinduqiao and Tagong but there are not too much of them. The best way is to hire a car. There is currently no train to Xinduqiao although a new railway line is under construction and estimated to run within the next 10 year’s time.
A good photographer knows where to shoot good photos. At Xinduqiao there are plenty of places where you can take great photos. Below is a map of Xinddduqiao and it shows where normally people like to take photos.
The best season to travel to Xinduqiao is from June to November. Sumer is from late June to early September. Summer is a good time to see green mountains and flowers. Fall is from September to November when the trees turn into golden color. The golden color tree is a big deal for travelers. It only lasts for one week or less and it differs in different years. It usually starts to snow by end of November and until the next March the snow will melt.

It is 35km north to the national highway 318 from Litang to Batang. Tsopu Lake is the name of the lake by the foot of Mt. Zhajin Jiabo. The place shares the name Tsopu and covers an area of 900 sqkm. Tsopu Lake is accessible by strong cars. Many people travel here due to its beautiful lakes, temples, prairies and mountains. It is now called the first holy lake in Kham. Niete Gangri and Zhajin Jiabo are the visible mountains from the south. The lakes include Tsola Lake, Yamo Tsogen Lake and Tsopu Lake. Tsopu is a holy place worshiped by local Tibetan people. And it is also where local people have their festivals including the horse-racing festival.
