FASTPASS:

Visiting Disneyland is like visiting a mini-country. On a one day trip it is best to fully utilize the limited time and enjoy as many of your favourite attractions as possible. Plan your itinerary ahead of time in order to make the most of the day. Nothing is more time consuming and irritating than waiting in a long queue. Pick up a Fastpass for the attractions so you can book yourself on a ride, walk around and enjoy other sites, and then return at the given time without having to queue at all.

Disney on Parade

Disney on Parade begins in fantasyland near the entrance of Storybook Theatre. It starts at either 1:00pm or 3:30pm depending on the closing time of the park (Check Park Calendar). Try to arrive 15 minutes early in order to secure a spot with a choice view.

“Disney in the Stars” fireworks are shown every night at 7:00pm or 8:00pm depending on the closing time of the park (Check Park Calendar). Arrive 15 minutes early at the square in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle at Fantasyland. Witness the sky transform into a beautiful piece of art.

A combination ticket featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy is available at the MTR Hong Kong Station Tung Chung line concourse. A discount is given on the MTR round trip ticket which costs HK$50 on top of the normal price of a park ticket. Regular HK$345. Peak HK$400.

3. Collect tickets booked online.

Travelers who have booked park tickets online, please remember to bring the confirmation email (or the confirmation code) and also the credit card you made payment with.

4. Get a FASTPASS.

Some visitors may want to consider getting a FASTPASS for all of the attractions at the beginning of their Disneyland journey. However, it is often not easy to predict your designated return time for to each attraction, and times may clash with each other. A better option is to obtain the FASTPASS of Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and Space Mountain at the same time, as both of them are located at Tommorowland. Luxun Park was created out of a shooting range in 1896. Over one hundred years later, many changes have been made including the addition of a lake, a “mountain”, and in 1999 , Hongkou Football Stadium. Covering 22 hectares of land it is a taste of traditional China.

Much busier and bigger than Longhua Memorial Park and Museum, Luxun Park really begins bustling with activity in the morning around 10am when the park is truly a feast for the senses. First witness a old Chinese woman, decked out in silk, gliding through the air as she leads a “class” in Tai Chi. Members of the older generation always enjoy the badminton courts, jungle gym and organized activities in the club house. Hordes of couples gather to dance ballroom style to Panpipe versions of Whitney Houston. Still more bring their instruments and voices to jam together with reckless abandon! The music rises though the air with laughter and a sense of real community. The park is a social event for the Chinese, but if that isn’t enough to keep you entertained, there are more attractions. The park is, after all, named after a famous writer.

Lu Xun wrote at the time of the May 4^th cultural movement. The goal of his work was to educate and he pulled no punches with a realistic and somewhat sarcastic style. I have always been a fan of Lu Xun since he had a similar writing style and indeed similar interests to myself. Not that I am putting myself into his league, I wouldn’t even dream of it! Lu Xun was a radical who loved young people. He encouraged these young minds to develop their own writing styles and to write from their heart. He was also an advocator for better international relations. The park is a mausoleum and his remains were moved there from another location. To learn more about his life I recommend visiting the museum which only costs 8RMB to enter. All information is offered in English.

There is also a stunning plum tree garden that is well worth a look. The admission fee is 12RMB, and the ticket is a bookmark written in both Chinese and Korean. At the bottom of the pavilion is a Korean gift store. The shop is also well worth a visit just to speak to the owner, a delightful man with some English who, when it is cold, offers complimentary Chinese tea.

There is a Sunflower English cottage which has a rooftop beer garden, an amusement park for the kids, and a lake with a variety of boats. If you are feeling peckish, the surrounding area has all manner of fast food, Chinese restaurants and wonderful street side with food stalls. Across the road is Shanghai International Studies University which boasts the best public swimming pool in Shanghai, so bring your swimsuit and make a day of it.

Those growing tired of the glitter of downtown Shanghai should come along to Luxun Park and truly discover the gold. Situated on Dalian Xi Lu, the park can be accessed by metro line 3 Hongkou Football Stadium station.

Zhujiang Road - IT Products

If we call Xinjiekou and Hunan Road the prime shopping centers in Nanjing, then Zhujiang Road is Nanjing’s IT product center. If you want to buy desktops, notebooks, digital cameras, MP3 players, or any and all kinds of IT products, head for Zhujiang Road. The prices here are around 1/3 lower than in stores such as Gold Eagle, Xinbai, etc. There are four main shopping centers on Zhujiang Road: Cyber Digital Products Square, Huahai Digital Square (华海电脑数码广场), Buynow (百脑汇), and Hong Tu San Bao. In each of these four shopping centers, there are many different small shops selling various digital products. Small stores found along the street are also dealers of different brands of e-products such as HP, IBM, Lenovo, Sony, Canon, Aigo and many more. It is rumored that some counterfeit products exist here, so use a keen eye and do a little research on the internet before going. If you can, have an expert accompany you when buying. It should be mentioned that many after-sales service stations of e-products are also located on Zhujiang Road. Next to the stores, the street is lined with individuals selling counterfeit DVDs and computer software. If somehow you do not notice the small cardboard box of DVDs in front of the hawkers, they will reliably shout “DVD!” at you.

Lashi Lake

And the Black Yi people, who are still keeping the best traditions of thier own, grow seas of potatos on the moutain side. While from a poorer class, Yi women are the only women who walk with straight back, full of dignity and elegance.

The village people now set up boating and horse-riding service facing visitors, which is such an enjoyable experience getting closed to the lake and the villages around there.

Normally visitors can comfortably combine a visit to the Confucius Temple with a visit to the Lama Temple, as they’re almost neighbours. Currently however, the Confucius Temple is undergoing major renovations (apparently much needed as the temple was in a state of disrepair). Although visitors are still allowed access, and are charged the 10 yuan entrance fee, it largely resembles a dusty, construction site. Apparently the renovations will take up to a year and hopefully by then the temple will be restored to its peaceful self.

Also on Guozilin Jie is a small cafe with wireless internet access and a vegetarian restaurant.

Update: Confucius Temple was last checked May 2007 and it is still under renovations.

How to Get There: Take subway line 2 to Yahegong Station (雅和宫站). Walk South on Yahegong Dajie then turn right (west) on Guozijian Jie (国子监街) and walk straight for a couple minutes.

It's a beautiful mountain which is surrounded by clouds all around the year, the fog makes a special feeling of mountain. Of course, monkeys and other natural animals are also there, which can bring you a lot of fun.

Which is the better place for you to see panda?

There're 2 popular places to see the panda, that is chengdu panda base and Bifengxia panda base.
Chengdu panda base (short for C), is about 40mins drive away from the city, and bifengxia panda base (short for B) is about 2.5 hour drive away from chengdu city.
Both C and B is similar in design, you can visit pandas in different ages in different enclosures. Even though B is located more close to forest, but the panda base is similar like C.

So what's the differece between C and B?
B has about 180 pandas, and C has about 140 pandas, but for visitors, normally you can only see around 30 pandas both in B and C.
B has the best of the best Volunteer programme, so if you wanna do volunteer work, B is the better choice.
In B, there're 3 donation programme, that is:
you can make 1000rmb donation, to have a picture sit beside with a panda around 2 year old;
3000rmb, to have a picture sit beside with a panda around 1 year old;
5000rmb, you can go inside the enclosure to play with the panda around 1 year old and hug and play for about 3mins.

In C, there's only one donation programme, that is exactly same as 3000rmb donation programme, but in chengdu panda base, you only need to make 2000rmb donation.

Normally C is very crowded, especially on weekends, and B has less visitors, so if you do like quite atmosphere, B is the better place.

What's more, you can also see some red pandas in C.

In China, people becomes vegetarian due to their faith, few of them are smart enough to understand that vegetarian food is good for their health, actually almost all Chinese trust that vegetarian food can’t offer enough energy and power to our body, and the reason for monks, nuns and Taoists are vegetarian, beside their faith, also because long term plain simple vegetable food will strengthen their mind, purify their spirit, calm their hearts down and resist temptation from outside normal society.

Now more and more people realize that the vegetarian food is good for health, hypertension, hyperglycemia and hyperlipidemia force people give up traditional food habit with too much meat and oil, and choose plain simply health food, which of course will try vegetarian food.
In the past, the vegetarian food from temples is plain and simple, just boil the vegetable with a little salt, that’s why only some Chinese old people who trust Buddhism or Daoism can accept and persevere. Young people can try occasionally for unique experience or when they need invisible help from Buddha, such as students hope to past important exam, new graduates hope to pass new company’s interview.
But now, some business people invest to open several good luxury vegetarian food restaurants here, they have downtown location, good decoration, nice surroundings, it seems more and more become a fashion to invite your business partners, sweet heart, and respectable olds go there to have a vegetarian banquet.

First we will visit the 700 years old City wall, We will climb up from south gate and have a walk on the wall. We are not sure how many km we can walk, because of the renovating of the wall. Normally we will walk from south gate to the Yunlu Exit.

Then visit the Confucius temple, there is a old building named Dacheng Hall which is over 840 years old. From outside, we can see the big wood joints to lift the big roof around the building which is named Dougong. Due to this design, there are less columns inside the hall for giving the big space for the statues and the prayer. We have chance to see the Confucius statue and learn the philosophy of Confucius. If you like, you can pray for you and your children to get better study.

There is the Paper Cutting master named Wentao nearby the exit of Confucius temple. She is very smart and create the new style paper cutting with much more details and good wishes on it. Her products are made by hanks. It is worth to visit and buy as a souvenir from Pingyao. From the table standing and wall hangings. Please remember, take the red one because of red is the traditional and happy color. But the white one is the best. It is really difficult to choose, because of all of them are really nice.

Then you can have coffee break or tea break if you need at Chummy coffee, after this, visit the City god temple (ChenghuangMiao) which is most beautiful temple inside the wall. Because of the roof is covered by the colorful glazed tiles. There is not only city god and also the three money gods, Now you know why pingyao was the financial center.
