This was our first trip to Lijiang. I got in touch with Keith from tripadvisor whom introduced a local english speaking guide to us. His name is Steven. He is well versed in English. It was clear from the start how lucky we were to have such a kind, humbled, nice, approachable and educated person by our side to help us get the most from our day of sightseeing. Steven lived up to every hope and expectation. He's relaxed and warm. We really had a good time with him. We took full day tour with him. He came to our hotel picked us up and brought us around. We went to Jade Dragon Mountain, old town lijiang, some shopping we learned bit of the culture there. We were totally comfortable with him. intact we became friends after the tour. He was nice to invite us to his restaurant and he is a good chef. He has his own signature dish. Its a spicy fish soup. It was really delicious. we'll look forward to more time with Steven on our next visit. Thanks to Keith for introducing Steven to us. We highly recommend Steven and his services to anyone visiting Lijiang.

We landed at the Lijiang airport on a late flight from Hong Kong, and we were glad to see Steven waiting for us. It was a rather cumbersome journey with a stop in Kunming. We appreciated the comfortable ride to the hotel in Steven's car.

For the next two days, Steven took us to the famed Jade Dragon Mountain, the tranquil Baisha Village and the highlight of our trip, the Tiger Leaping Gorge of the Jinsha River. Along the way we got to sample some very delicious local ethnic foods. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour at a pace that was very comfortable for us.

As a tour guide, we found Steven knowledgeable of Lijiang, attentive to details and very helpful in making our tour of Lijiang as comfortable as it could be. As a person, Steven was friendly, warm, courteous and respectful throughout the entire trip. We enjoyed his company during those two wonderful days.

It is without reservation that I would recommend Steven as a tour guide for the Lijiang area. And we wish him the very best in all his future endeavours.

as time was tight; we can only spent on day in the Tiger leaping Gorges and after go to ShangriLa. Steven helped us to organize day and we just spent an amazing day.

With his help, we arrive in the middle of the gorge and walk there during almost 5 hours through beautiful and amazing lanscape and view.Steven has always been very care about us,  helpful, took a great place for lunch...and finally drop us to shangrila! he speaks very good english that make things easier for the communication.

From the moment I met Steven in my hotel I knew he was the right choice for my guide to the Tiger Leaping Gorge. As a single traveler I did not want to do the 2 day trek on my own and Steven turned out to be a guide as well as a companion. His knowledge about Yunnan and things to do as well as his broad interests gave us a lot to talk about during the trip. When necessary during the steep climbs in the gorge he let me rest but also kept me going to reach the Tea-Horse guesthouse in 7 hours after leaving his car Qiaotou. The Sichuan style fish hotpot we had in his family's restaurant on return to Lijiang was a great end of the two days. I am sure Steven will be a great guide to anyone requesting his services!

We very much enjoyed our 3-day tour with Steven through Lijiang and Shangri-la. He was knowledgeable regarding where to take us, very courteous and safe (important considering the type of roads we traveled), and most importantly he seemed genuinely concerned about us. He worked to ensure we really enjoyed our trip and got the experience out of it that we wanted. 

Steven was a great guide and driver! We spent 7 days visiting Dali, Shaxi, Tiger Leaping Gorge, and Lijiang. The hotels and guesthouses were wonderful as were the restaurants he took us to. He brought us to a lot of places that we would not have been able to find on our own, such as visiting a tradition Bai family who have been doing traditional Tie-Dye for 200 hundred years. He knows Tiger Leaping Gorge very well and the two days we spent hiking through the Gorge were amongst my favorite. Visiting the Yunnan province was a wonderful experience we loved having Steven as our guide!
