Steve was an excellent driver and tour guide. From the first contact to the end of the tour everything went smooth and well planned. Especially our wishes to stay away from the crowed, was well performed with the Liming area and the snub- nosed monkey experience. His suggestions for the restaurants were extremely helpful and the selected food was delicious. A personal invitation to his restaurant for lunch with his family in Lijiang with excellent dishes was a highlight. Thank you very much for your effort and performance throughout the whole trip. Steven took very good care of us during the 4 days that we were with him in Lijiang and Shangri-La. He was very conscientious and considerate throughout our trip. When my wife felt unwell, he gave her some local medicine that helped her feel better. He also took to a family communal barbeque during a special occasion in Stone Drum town and on another day, even cooked a wonderful meal (Sichuan water boiled fish) for us. He was also very flexible when it came to the itinerary and when we asked to deviate from the planned itinerary, he was always happy to accommodate us. Because of this, we had a wonderful time in Lijiang and Shangri-La and we wouldn't have had to opportunity to experience local life if it hadn't been for Steven. Read less

Me and my wife have spent a week in Yunnan during July 2016 with Steven. Steven was both a guide and a driver but also a friend to us. He was very patient and tried to satisfy every request we had- whether it was shopping or changing the itinerary. In 7 days we've been to Lijiang,Shaxi,Shibaoshan,Tiger Leaping Gorge, Shangri-la and more villages. Steven has also booked our hotels which were all very satisfying and comfortable. We organized a day tour to the tiger leaping gorge through Steven. He was a great guide; he came up with a program fitting our family situation perfectly. We saw the amazing gorge, visited a local village and searched for a place where they sold ice cream... The special kind of d-tour you take with young kids. Altogether a day very well spend.

Special note on Steven driving style, it was so relaxed after several weeks in China. Even on the mountain roads we felt perfectly safe.

I was looking for a guide/driver for 3 days to travel around Yunnan with my parents. I found Steven contact through Sinotrip website. Even thought at first I was not sure someone was really behind this profile, I was then reassured when chatting by email.

We met in Dali and Steven drove us to Shaxi, then to Qiatou, accompanied us during the hike in Tiger Leaping Gorge and on the last day drove us up to Shangri La through magnificent landscapes.
Steven is a very easygoing person, flexible and willing to chat and share about Chinese specific aspects/cultural differences. His English is amazing which makes communication much easier.
Steven is far more than a driver, but a real guide who knows very well the region. He was really helpful when we were hesitating about our second day program and suggested a plan B which in the end matched perfectly with our aptitudes and needs 
I highly recommend  Steven service ! With him by your side, you are sure to have a relaxed and very pleasant time in Yunnan!
