Lijiang is a wonderful and beautiful place because of not only the landscape ,nice weather but also Steven , a very nice and kind tour guide. Steven can speak fluent English, have the  good driving skill and try his best to help you beyond his duty.   I spent 4 days in Lijiang.  First I went to Shaxi Old Town, 2 hours driving from Lijiang.  Steven helped me book the inn with a good price. The inn is  in a quiet place, a little far from the town by walking. In the night, because the chef was sick, nobody could prepare the dinner for us. Steven gave me a surprise. He made the dinner by himself in the kitchen. It was really a wonder dinner with 2 dishes and 1 fish soup.   My last destination was Tiger  Leaping Gorge. We spent 2 days to walk through the Gorge. Steven helped me carry a lot of supplies to let me finally finish this journey.  I appreciated Steven for all your efforts to me. Of course, Steven is my recommendation to the travelers who are planning to go to Lijiang.     

Steven is a excellent guide.  I spent two days with him in Shangra La, Yunnan, and was very impressed by his knowledge of the region, his safe driving skills, his caring attitude and his fluent English.  Steven has a knack for finding great places to eat no matter where you are and designs excellent itineraries.  He's a thorough professional and takes care of every detail.  Even when his job was finished and we had said good-bye, he waited to make sure I could check into my hotel.  Disaster!  The hotel (which I had booked myself) would only accept cash, not credit cards!  Undaunted, Steven just took me around in the car until we could find an ATM so I could get the cash.  Any other guide would have just taken off when the job was done but Steven really cares and wants to make sure that your trip goes smoothly and that you have a good and safe time.  I give him my highest recommendation.

I know Steven personally as one who is pretty serious about what he is doing as a tour guide as well as a driver. I spent two days traveling with him in Dali and to the adjacent villages, and honestly, I felt safe every time we hit the road. He knows how to get you around and communication is never a problem. If you are looking for a fluent English-speaking tour guide/driver, I highly recommend him to you. There is no doubt that he can serve you the best that he can.
