1) You will get only honest information. Too much fake /incomplete/dishonest tourist information on line, which makes it hard for tourists to make right decisions, especially about the Panda, very tricky!

2) I guarantee you the best panda experience. There are 5 panda sanctuaries around Chengdu, each one focus on different thing, I’ll take you to the right one according to what you would like to do (panda watching, panda hugging, panda volunteer) at the right timing at the right spots. Pandas are only active little time in early morning , don’t waste your time on finding the spots.

3) No tourist trap! I hate tourist trap as much you do. I don’t take people to tourist shops where I can get commission. I prefer to take people to see panda, peaceful pretty nature, authentic local lives and some of the really nice historical sites. I don’t do Jinli or Kuanzhai Alley these kinds of fake historical sites, although they are supper popular and recommended by all travel agents, tourist websites and guide books.

4) The price of tour fare is reasonable, I offer best price for what I give because there is no middle man between you and me. Most of travel agents are very mean to their tour guides, Synotrip is a good website, a great bridge between tour guides and tourists.

5) I’m a tough man and a careful driver, driving a sightseeing Buick GL8 van with 7 seats, size 5200x1825x1930mm, it’s in good condition with AC and big space for luggage. Way of my live is kind of following Taoism, healthy and willing to walk a lot if needed, I don’t smoke.

P.S I do lots of tours to Tibet. Foreigners need permit(different from visa to China) to visit TAR(Western Tibet), but not other regions of Tibet situated in Sichuan, Qinghai, Gansu and Yunnan, traditionally known as Amdo and Kham. TAR is only part of TIbet. Tibet is twice as big, and travel in Amdo and Kham is free.

Reviews of Haba

I just returned after 10 days in Lijian and was fortunate to have Haba as my guide. He took me to the best sites in Lijian, including guest houses, bars (mainly for the live music), and restaurants, both Chinese and Western. He accompanied me to Shuhe. We also hiked Tiger Leaping Gorge over 3 days, and Haba turned out to be a wonderful hiking companion as well. He had my interest at heart and protected me from hassles and rip offs. He knows many people in the area and that was very helpful. He also turned out to be full of anecdotes and useful information, and funny.

I will return to the Lijian area for another visit and will hire him again. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

We had a tour to yun nan three days ago, for 3 days with Haba and it was a great experience. He himself is a true traveller and thus make a great guide for us. He doesn't hesitate to give us extra tours as long as time permits. With his wide relation, he also brought us in to the Lijiang University (a place where not everyone can come in), as we are interested on studying Chinese there. If you want to find a tour guide who's very service oriented and always "on your side" he's the guy we recommend. Especially when you will face a few dispute with local seller (it happens sometime in China) he will always be ready to help you out. Very recommended! Read less

My wife and I recently traveled with Haba for 6 days. It was the most amazing portion of our 3 week trip. Haba is the most sincere, considerate, and knowledgeable guide that we had the pleasure of meeting. If you are looking for a dependable and honest person/guide, you can feel totally confident in Haba. For example, our only contact prior to meeting Haba in Shangri La was by email. He did not know me at all. Yet there he was, waiting for us at the airport, with a driver and car. He had traveled 5 hours, hired a driver, totally trusting that we would show up. Hi, I can wholeheartedly recommend Haba as a tour guide in Yunnan province. Last October, I've arranged a trip for a couple (about 50yrs old) in China, and contacted Haba after finding out some scanty details about him on the internet. As the couple reported, Haba really went out of his way to make their stay enjoyable, with endless patience and a warm & welcoming approach. He also took them to a number of 'out of the well worn track' places, which they (or I) would have probably never found out about. He seems like a safe bet.
