1) You will get only honest information. Too much fake /incomplete/dishonest tourist information on line, which makes it hard for tourists to make right decisions, especially about the Panda, very tricky!

2) I guarantee you the best panda experience. There are 5 panda sanctuaries around Chengdu, each one focus on different thing, I’ll take you to the right one according to what you would like to do (panda watching, panda hugging, panda volunteer) at the right timing at the right spots. Pandas are only active little time in early morning , don’t waste your time on finding the spots.

3) No tourist trap! I hate tourist trap as much you do. I don’t take people to tourist shops where I can get commission. I prefer to take people to see panda, peaceful pretty nature, authentic local lives and some of the really nice historical sites. I don’t do Jinli or Kuanzhai Alley these kinds of fake historical sites, although they are supper popular and recommended by all travel agents, tourist websites and guide books.

4) The price of tour fare is reasonable, I offer best price for what I give because there is no middle man between you and me. Most of travel agents are very mean to their tour guides, Synotrip is a good website, a great bridge between tour guides and tourists.

5) I’m a tough man and a careful driver, driving a sightseeing Buick GL8 van with 7 seats, size 5200x1825x1930mm, it’s in good condition with AC and big space for luggage. Way of my live is kind of following Taoism, healthy and willing to walk a lot if needed, I don’t smoke.

Please be noted the daily rate USD100 is only for my guiding fee, excluding transportation. Transportation cost depends on the size of the group and mileage.

P.S I do lots of tours to Tibet. Foreigners need permit(different from visa to China) to visit TAR(Western Tibet), but not other regions of Tibet situated in Sichuan, Qinghai, Gansu and Yunnan, traditionally known as Amdo and Kham. TAR is only part of TIbet. Tibet is twice as big, and travel in Amdo and Kham is free.

I emailed him with what I wanted to see and we emailed back and forth many times and he organize it into a tour. We visited Qingcheng Mountain, the Dujiangyan irrigation site, the Pandas, the LeShan Buddha, and many parks and temples in Chengdu. There were 8 of us and Haba had a bus and driver to take us around as he guided the tour. Highly recommended! He never pressured us or tried to take us to any shopping sights we didn't ask for. He also picked us up and took us back to the airport and gave us great restaurant (and foot massage) recommendations. Highly recommended if you are going to Chengdu! Read less

We used Haba's services for two days in July: he first took me to see the giant Buddha in Leshan on the first day, then me and my friend to see the pandas and then visit the town of Dujiangyan on the second day. You won't go wrong with Haba. He professional, friendly and knowledgeable: all the traits that you need in a guide. His strategy of getting to the panda center just before it opens (7:30 am) was the right one as we avoided the crowds which did come after an hour. The three of us were all alone in the panda newborn center (we pass by it after an hour and there was a huge line to get in). Go early to the panda breeding center to avoid the crowds! Haba then took us to a local restaurant where we had lunch. We definitely benefited from a Chinese-speaking guide since we would've been totally lost on how to order food. Although it was really hot that day, the short hike through Dujiangyan was fantastic. The views of the river and the irrigation canal from the cliffs were magnificent. All in all we had a terrific day, all thanks to Haba. Read less

We visited Chengdu in July 2018 and I contacted Haba after finding this website. Haba had great contact with me and we emailed back and forth and he accommodated all our requests. At the last minute, we had an extra guest and this meant Haba had to reorganise the tour for us which he did and sorted out a bigger vehicle. On the day of the tour, my 6 friends and I had a great time. Haba is very knowledgeable on Chinese history and was more than willing to answer as many questions as we wanted to ask. His recollection of dates is truly amazing and we really got to learn what it was like to grow up in China. Haba also does extended hiking tours in the mountains and I believe in Nepal. I am seriously considering going back next year with my wife to do a hiking tour with Haba and I have no hesitation to recommend his services as he is very competent and great value. Steve. He gave me feedback on the places we were thinking about going and helped us make the most of our limited time in Cheng Du. He helped us find a driver as well and plan the entire agenda. I went on a 8 days trip with Habai and it has been incredible. From Chengdu we first visited Leshan giant Buddha area, which is gorgeous. There are several giant buddhas both in caves and outside, caves with sculptures everywhere and temples in the forests. It's absolutely incredible. Then we went on a round trip through Dujiangyan city and several other smaller cities on the way, which were simply gorgeous. We visited two incredible natural parks, Bipenggou National Park and and Huanglong National Park, the second being something I have never seen everywhere else. We went through the tibetan plateau. used Haba in March 2013 on 2 occasions. First to visit Panda Breeding Research Base. Haba was excellent and enhanced our experience here. Most significantly my wife #1 prioirty was to hold a panda and see behind the scenes at the Nursery. As the panda play costs CNY2000 the CNY600 we paid for Haba made sure this was booked in early and that my wife knew what to do to maximize her experience. As the panda only requires 1/2 to 2/3 day we included a good late lunch at a dumpling house and a tour of the peoples park and centre square on our way back to hotel. CNY600 (for 2 persons) included pre-purchased entry tickets so we went straight in on arrival and did not have to queue. WE found haba had a good knowledge of the panda facility and he made us aware of quite a few things about the panda, panda natural situation in Chengdu and information about the release trials etc. This added value to our panda experience that was well worth the fee paid (A$50 each) used Haba again to take us out to Dujlangyan (irrgation project, Minjiang River area and ancient bridges) where we needed a car. Given the 50km distance from Chengdu Haba organised a car and driver for the whole day. The driver dropped us off at the top and we only had to walk downhill on all the steps (a lot of them) with the driver meeting us again at the end of the day at the front of the tourist area around the ancient bridges. We doubt we would have been able to make this trip on our own using public transport and felt that the fee paid was good value - particularly as there is much less english information in this area. Recommend Haba as a professional and well informed guide. [we paid cash and communicated directly rather than via web page]
