Below you will find details of the most famous adventure tour in Cusco: The Inca Jungle. This itinerary describes the activities day by day as well as what is included. The tour won’t face too much crowd as the classic inca trail.
DAY 1:  CUSCO – PISPITAYOC  (BIKING AND RAFTING)


The program of Inca Jungle tour starts when we pick you up at your hotel from 6:30 to 7.00 am. then we head towards the sacred valley of the Incas, along the way we will see picturesque villages and beautiful landscapes, arriving at Ollantaytambo, after a break we will continue with the trip by bus. After 1hr. aprox. we will arrive at the Abra Malaga around 11 am. (4350 mt.), point of departure with the bikes, we will descend for  3 hrs., passing through small villages, orchards, rivers and streams, reaching  the town Huamanmarca around 1:30 pm. Aprox. Then our private bus will take the group for 30 min. to the town of Santa Maria, where we will have lunch. After a short break, we will begin a new adventure, the rafting trip will lasts around 2 hrs., encountering rapids class III and IV, always accompanied by a professional safety kayak that will take care of the group all the time. Travelers that didn’t book the rafting tour will go with an assistant guide in our private bus for 20 min. to the next town of Santa Rosa, from this point we will walk for 45 min. aprox. until reaching the eco lodge called “La Choza”. Then they will have free time to explore by their own. At the end of the rafting adventure, the bus will be waiting for this group to take it to the town of Santa Rosa and they will walk for 45 min. aprox. until arriving at the ecological lodge La Choza, located in the village of Pispitayoc to spend the first night surrounded by vegetation and beautiful landscapes.

DAY 2:  PISPITAYOC – SANTA TERESA (HIKING)
We got up around 6:00 a.m. to enjoy a typical breakfast in the middle of nature, then we start the walking along the banks of the river and start climbing for 30 min. aprox. part of this trek will go through the original inca trail. On our way we will see small coffee plantations, fruit trees, among others. The area is surrounded by many types of birds and orchids; this ecosystem belongs to the high forest and is one of the most rich in terms of biodiversity of the Inca jungle. Once on top we will see the whole valley of the lower Urubamba. The group will walk down the mountain for 2.30 hrs. aprox. until arriving at the village of Qellomayo, to have the meal. After a break we continue walking for 3 hrs. crossing farms, waterfalls and rivers until arriving at the hot water springs of Santa Teresa, and after a relaxing bath, the group will continue walking for 40 min. until reaching the town of Santa Teresa to sleep in one of the rural lodges. After the dinner we all are invited to visit one of the bars to hang out with the members of the group.

DAY 3:  SANTA TERESA – AGUAS CALIENTES  (HIKING AND ZIP LINE)
Around 7 am., after a typical breakfast we will get ready to continue exploring the roads that were followed by the first expeditionaries that discovered Machu Pichu and other important archaeological complex. The next journey will start in Santa Teresa. Those who reserved in advance will make the zipline (and later this group will be taken by bus to the area known as the hydroelectric), the rest of the group will continue the trek of 3 hrs. aprox. through the valley until reaching  the hydroelectric too, where the entire group will get together again. Here we will enjoy of a great lunch. And after a break we will continue walking along this great inca jungle tour for 3 hrs., enjoying beautiful waterfalls, going through coca and coffee farms along the railway until arriving at the town of Aguas Calientes around 4 pm. Here the group will spend the night in a hostel. At night we all will get together in a local restaurant to enjoy a great dinner and have a briefing about our next excursion to Machu Picchu and the group will receive some snacks.

DAY 4:  AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO (WALKING  AND VISIT THE INCA CITADEL)
Finally in last day of our inca jungle tour we get up around 4:00 am. we get ready to head to Machu Picchu, our trek will follow an ascending path through the high forest, hopefully we could have the opportunity to see the sunrise on our way, after registering in the control entrance around 6:00 am. we will have a private guide leading us within the Inca citadel, and after 2 hrs. aprox. the group will be free to enjoy Machu Picchu by its own. Those travelers that booked the hiking to Huayna Picchu will be able to start this journey, the climbing lasts around 45 min. the way up is very steppy at some points but it’s worth it because the view from this area is breathtaking. Although this trek is not recommended for people that suffer of dizziness. In the afternoon, according to the departure of the train ticket, we will descend walking to the town of Aguas Calientes to get the train back to Ollantaytambo where the group will be picked up and transferred to Cusco city. Remember to be at least 30 min. at the train station before departure. End of our journey in the plaza de armas.

Day 1: Cusco - Cachora - Santa Rosa

Our first day starts out from the village of Cachora, a 4 hour drive from Cusco. Leaving Cachora the path works it's way down in to the Apurimac Valley and we will have fantastic views of snow-capped peaks in the distance and the Apurimac Valley spread out before us throughout the day, also after a few hours walking we'll get to have our first views of Choquequirao sat on the far side of the valley. The area around Choquequirao is rich in life and we will see a wide variety of flora and fauna as we make our way down in to the valley.
Our campsite for the night is at Santa Rosa (2200m / 7215ft.) which is on the other side of the Apurimac River. As the campsite is a little further along the trail than most groups go it is one of the quietest places to camp on the whole trek so we can enjoy the beautiful scenery around us without distraction.
Day 2: Santa Rosa - Choquequirao

Today is probably the hardest day of the trek. To get to Choquequirao we need to make our way back up the opposite side of the Apurimac Valley which involves ascending about 800m / 2624ft. over a distance of 14km / 8.7 miles through hot and humid conditions. It's quite tough going but the views we get today mixed with the wide variety of flora and fauna you find on this side of the valley make it worth it.
Throughout the day we will see a wide variety of bromeliads, orchids and stands of bamboo; we'll also hopefully see birds such as Quetzals, Toucans and a variety of hummingbirds. After about a 5 hour walk we'll arrive to our campsite close to Choquequirao (3050m / 10,005ft.) and settle in for the night - if the weather is clear the views of the sunsetting from here are amazing and we may be lucky enough to spot Condors soaring over the valley below.
Day 3: Choquequirao - Chiquiska

Today's focus is on exploring Choquequirao. Waking up early you'll head off on a guided tour of the site during which you'll be shown the most important and interesting sections of the city and get to learn about the Inca culture and the close relation between Choquequirao and Machu Picchu.
Compared to Machu Picchu little is known about Choquequirao even though it has been known about for much longer. Originally discovered in the 17th century by the Spanish it lay abandoned and forgotten until recent years when tourism raised the profile of the city and exploration began. Even with this increased interest only 25% of the city has been explored and many of its secrets still wait to be discovered.
After your tour you'll begin the trek back to Cachora along the route we came. Our campsite for tonight is Chiquiska (1800m / 5905ft.) in the base of the valley by the Apurimac River.
Day 4: Chiquiska - Cachora - Cusco

Today is the final stretch of the trek as we make our way back to Cachora. Winding our way back up the side of the valley we'll have our final views of Choquequirao in the distance before arriving to Cachora in the late afternoon and travelling by bus back to Cusco.

When first timers watch the Titicaca Lake most say "it´s too beautiful." Indeed, it is.
However, there´s way more there in addition to the Lake and we take you there!
We arrange how you get to Puno, where Titicaca Lake is (air, bus, train, according to your budget and needs)
This is a 2 days experience that starts early in the morning pick you from the airport, train station or hotel.
Me, your guide, will be all the time with you.
Then we travel in a speedboat to the Uros artificially made islands. However, we do not go to the area that is packed with tourist. We go to an area where there are only few families and few islands so to get the real feeling and view of how the Uros natives lives.
You can travel in one of their Totora raft ships and get some real handicrafts while also tasting their food.
From there we go to Taquile Island. Just beautiful, where we walk around watching some of the most beautiful landscapes of the area. We have a delicious lunch made with local products and around 5 pm we´re back into Puno.
Next day we travel to the Aramu Muru Portal of Hayu Marca, a most amazing rock structure carved by ancient civilizations (way, way older than Inca) that is know by high authorities of the spiritual and paranormal research as a "dimensional portal."
We also walk around the "stone woods of Juli" and you can get your own conclusions if those are just natural rocks or actually very ancient walls from a lost civilization.
From there we go to a beautiful beach to very few know where you can actually feel and (it is cold but you can) take a dip into the clear and clean waters of the Titicaca Lake.
We get a delicious lunch in Juli (their bread is just the best) and off we go to Sillustani.
The enormous stone burials of Sillustani are surrounded by a beautiful lake (not Titicaca) and hills where you can also check face to face (beware, they spit) Alpacas looking curiously at you.
