Tipón

Tipón are the Inca ruins. There are two assumptions of its purpose. It was probably an agricultural centrum. The terraces are equipped with water channels and even today people can see water going through. The pther assumption is that it was a sort of a park for the upper class.

The entire complex is located near the Cusco – Puno highway, ony 27 km away from Cusco.

This site also pertains to the important Inca archeological sites.
