Nuo Deng Village

Nuo Deng Village can be traced back to 2000 years ago. The village was a very important salt mining spot in that time. It remains its traditional extraction method by burning wood to get salt. Today, it lives Bai minority there. In Qing dynasty, there were over 100 students got excellent result in official examination set by the government. 6 of them became officer in the central government. Today, the village remains the old tradition of Bai. Lot of old stone steps, collection of remains from Qing dynasty. The ham preserved with Nuo Deng salt is delicious. Nuo Deng Village is 165KM from Dali city.

Tiger Leaping Gorge

Tiger Leaping Gorge (虎跳峡) is a scenic canyon on the Jinsha River, a primary tributary of the upper Yangtze River. It is located 60 kilometres (37 mi) north of Lijiang City, Yunnan in southwestern China. It is part of the Three Parallel Rivers of Yunnan Protected Areas World Heritage Site. At a maximum depth of approximately 3,790 meters (12,434 feet) from river to mountain peak, Tiger Leaping Gorge is one of the deepest and most spectacular river canyons in the world. The inhabitants of the gorge are primarily the indigenous Naxi people, who live in a handful of small hamlets. Their primary subsistence comes from grain production and hikers, foreign as well as Chinese.

Nuo Deng Bai Village 诺邓 - 白族千年古村

Nuo Deng Bai village locates 165KM west of Dali City. It's history can be traced back to 2000 years ago as an important salt mining spot in the old days. Today it lives Bai minority there. The old village remains the traditional Bai structure with polishing stone steps. Private home museum collection display the Qing Dynasty remian. Local home made ham is delicious. one day hiking Wenhai Naxi village

Wenhai is a beautiful village, it is located north west part of LiJiang, there have good road can go to the village direct, but most of tourists who like to do some soft hiking still choice hiking up to Wenhai. because on the way can visit villages and join the nice nature view.

the program is : Meet the guide in the morning. drive half hour to trekking start point, on the way visit Baisha village, fast visit to Doctor He and the YuHu naxi village. walk 3.5 hours to Wenhai village, visit the village after lunch. And then drive 1 hour back to LiJiang.
