About Me

Hi my name is Zoryana. I'm a licensed tour guide and English-Ukrainian/Russian interpreter in Lviv (Western Ukraine).

I've been working in tour industry since 2006. At this time I am self-employed and specialize in guided tours in Lviv and around the Western Ukraine. Also, I make genealogical research and arrange trips for people interested in finding their ancestors' birth place.

Plus, I have a great experience working as an interpreter and event manager. I've been involved in many projects such as OSCE Election Observation Mission (I interpreted for Short-Term Observers); McDonald's Player Escort Program at the UEFA EURO 2012 Football Tournament in Lviv (I server as team's venue coordinator in Lviv and as staff supervisor) and many more. I can provide my CV at your request.

Please feel free to contact me at any time!

I hired Zoryana over the internet and asked her to be my guide around Lviv as well as the small town of Sambir where my grandparents were born.

Zoryana was excellent with communication prior to the event – she responded promptly to the information that I provided, and followed up giving me answers.  She was nice and friendly.  She was clear, easy to talk to, and prices were consistent with what she told me prior to the event.

In Lviv she was knowledgeable about the city, and spent several hours walking with us while providing different historical details.  She gave us the ‘general’ story as well as the local ‘unofficial’ story that was unfolding currently with sites.  She also provided good restaurant recommendations and suggested activities.

In Sambir, we met with employees at the City Hall where she helped communicate and translate and try to locate my grandparents’ old address.  This involved cross referencing old Polish street names with the new Ukrainian street names in the city archive.  She got email details from one of the staff members and followed up with me afterwards with further information.

We went to several locations that were heavily off the beaten track that she had local knowledge of, and one which she was able to learn about on the trip.
I am extremely appreciative of her efforts, both before, during, and after the trip.  I would never have been able to have the same trip with the same degree of results without her, and I would highly recommend Zoryana as a guide.

Thank you Zoryana!
