About Me

I'm Linda Guo, an English speaking guide in Xian. I had national tour guide license. Over ten years working experience as a local guide, I'm glad to meet each visitor who come from all over the world.

I'm patient, honest, enthusiastic and happy to help the people who needs my help. If I'm your guide, you'll get very happy, comfortable, memorable tour in Xian.

Xian was ancient capital in China, it has splendid Chinese culture and the hometown of terra cotta warriors and horses. Depend on your different interests and requests, your Xian tour will be tailor-made.

I love Xian because it's my beautiful hometown, many foreigners loved it as well and enjoyed the time in Xian, I love my job because it's a good opportunity to reveal the ancient history and natural beauty to each visitor.

Don't be hesitate! Follow me to have a fantastic trip in Xian! We'll share the wonderful time in Xian!

Linda was our guide on our weekend trip to Xian. We chose her because of the reviews. From the time we contacted her per email she was very nice and helpful. She was at the airport to pick us up. As we were a group of 10 she organized a minibus for us we used all weekend. Her suggestions were very helpful and we visit all of them: the Terracotta Warriors, a manufacturer which produces copies of the warriors, a Tang Dynasty dance show, we rode bicycles on the city wall. We also visited the Muslim street, the Mosque, Bell and Drum Tower and the Goose Pagoda. Her suggestions for dining and lunch were also great and the food was delicious! She speaks great english and she knows a lot of History. We had a great time with Linda and we highly recommend her! Read less

My husband and I recently returned from a fabulous 3 week holiday of China which included a spectacular few days in Xi'an with Linda....we only wish we had more time! Linda was so easy to be around, and super informative. We are pretty laid back and enjoy just going with the flow, so it was priceless having Linda, organise us and surprise us with an amazing dumpling dinner (our fav meal of the entire trip) and also to a museum we could almost say we enjoyed more than the famous Warriors! It is the things you don't know about that are the most memorable.

Linda also organised for us to travel on the high speed train for a day trip to Longman Grottoes and also to the wonderful Shaolin temple.... what a great day.

I would love to share more, however I feel it is much more exciting when you have a wonderful person take care of you and deliver such a great service. We loved that Linda also drove, and we didn't have to pay for a driver as well.

Don't hesitate! You get what you pay for and we were 100% happy with Linda!!

enjoy your China experiences!

Oh, and be sure to feel free to get Linda to choose your meals...she does a great job!!

My husband and I recently returned form a month long holiday,  starting in Borneo and finishing in China, also visiting Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong. In most of the destinations we hired local tour guides who were professional and informative. However, we must say that Linda was, by far, the best. She is organised, punctual, speaks fluent English and her knowledge of the local area and 3,000 year history is outstanding. She has a very warm friendly personality and is also really good company.

To arrange our two day tour we corresponded with Linda via email, she offered advice and guidance on putting together an itinerary that best suited our requirements. This also included airport pick up / drop off. We visited the Terra-cotta Army Museum, Sianxii Museum, The City Wall, Xi'an Park (a must do), Bid Goose Pagoda, Muslim Quarter & Mosque and Shaanxi Grand Opera House.

In summary, we have no hesitation in recommending Linda as a tour guide. You will not be disappointed.

I just completed a four day trip to Xi'an with my son, daughter, and son-in-law and Linda was our guide.  I just have to say that Linda is outstanding to deal with, both as a person and as a guide.  I chose her as our guide based upon the reviews of others that I had read and I can honestly say that it was wonderful choice.  From the moment I first contacted her, Linda was extremely prompt and helpful in responding to me and answering all of my questions in an extremely timely fashion.  She made suggestions as to the places and activities that we would probably enjoy the most and really went the extra mile to help make our visit delightful.  She helped book our local hotel (the ramada) which was excellent and especially convenient since it was in easy walking distance to the Muslim quarter which can't be missed.  She arranged all of our transportation from the moment we arrived at the airport and just catered to our every need. Places we visited included the Terra Cotta warriors, the Shanxii Museum, Muslim Street, the Muslim Mosque, the Ancient City Wall, the Big Goose Pagoda, the local park (so my kids could see the local people singing and dancing, etc.).  We also did a one day trip by high speed train to the Longmen Grottos and the Shaolin Temple (famous for Kung Fu) which I highly recommend.  It is about a 1 hour 40 minute high speed train ride to Longmen to see the grottos which are amazing and then about a 1 and half hour drive to the Shaolin temple.  The Kung Fu demonstration at the temple is outstanding.  Linda's knowledge of the local area and the rich history was really helpful in bringing the visit to all of these sites to life.

My entire family thoroughly appreciated everything that Linda did for us.  Our visit to Xi'an was outstanding because of her.  My daughter, who is a kindergarten teacher, had been looking for some lanterns to take back to the USA with her to use for an upcoming unit she will be doing with her students about China.  Linda told her to not worry about getting them because she would get them and gift them to her when she left.  Not only did she get two great lanterns for my daughter, she also got a number of smaller ones as well which will look great in the classroom.  It is just typical of how Linda always would go the extra mile.

Linda is the greatest!  I highly recommend her.

We have been staying in China for a couple of months for business, with a couple of vacations. We have tried a couple of different guides from Synotrip, but none as good as Linda. She responded quickly on our e-mails regarding the tour and had planned everything for us. From when she picked us up early morning from the train station to we left again, she told us a lot of interesting things about Xi'an and the culture in the province. She also made sure that we got on the right train back home, which was very appreciated!

She is genuinely a very pleasant person to be around, unfortunately we only had 3-days with her before we left again. Could easily have spent 3-4 days more with such good company.

She gets our best recommendations.

Thanks!

When I was planning for my visit to Xian in October 2012, I wanted an English speaking guide because of my limited knowledge of mandarin.  I contacted Linda via Synotrip in early August and asked if she could be my guide. Her respond was prompt and she very helpful in recommending the various tours available in Xian and nearby areas although she was only available as my guide for 2 of the 6 days of my visit.  She patiently responded to my queries and requests for clarifications and gave suggestions on hotels and help make arrangements for other English speaking guides, transportation and driver for the remaining 4 days of my visit.  When I arrived at Xian Airport, she was waiting for me at Arrivals.  All in all, I find that Linda is punctual, professional, reliable, has a good command of the english language, knowledgeable about the attractions of Xian and above all, caring and helpful.  The guides and driver she arranged for me for the remaining days of my visit are also friendly, reliable and knowledgeable.  I would not hesitate to recommend Linda if you need an English speaking guide in Xian.  Personally, I enjoyed my visit to Xian, not only did I have a good time visiting the various historical, cultural and natural attractions, I had the opportunity to sample the local food and experienced a glimpse of daily live in Xian, thanks in part to Linda and her fellow guides.      MWong, Malaysia 13/11/2012
