We have contacted a few tour guides in Kunming and Lijiang before our trip to Yunnan. We found that Rosey is the best as she responded to our queries promptly, provided us with good advice. Even we wrote to her at midnight, she will respond without delay. Unlike others, who either did not respond to our emails or took some time to reply.

In this trip, she helped us to arrange our itinerary from Dali to Shangrila and also a car & a driver – Mark, who was punctual, friendly and stops at every scenic site for pictures and we enjoy each other’s company.

On our next trip back to Yunnan, we will definitely engage Rosey & Mark again and I have no qualms of recommending Rosey and Mark to other people.

Our 7 days family trip with Rosey was unforgettable. She is extremely patient and understands the needs of her clients. Rosie was able to to take our family (kids ages 9 and 11) to Tiger Leaping Gorge for a two day hike and overnight stay and she was the icing on the cake for an amazing time in Lijiang.

With very little notice, she took care of all of the details and had us in one of the world's most beautiful places with all of the logistics taken care of up front with no problems.

Do not go to this part of China and expect any support for Western tourists... Her knowledge is indispensable and worth every yuan!

We also got to visit her father's home in Walnut Grove (sean's Guesthouse) at the end of our hike for a fabulous lunch and she also has a cafe in Baisha that we visited twice on other non-hiking days.

We are glad we had her service, but even more glad that we got to know Rosie and will absolutely go back to see our new friend when returning to Lijiang!

We just completed a 5-day tour of Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge and Shangri-la with Rosey and her driver.  We are a family of 4, including 2 kids.  We really enjoyed the tour and would not hesitate to recommend her service.

Although my wife and I speak Chinese, but we didn't know Yunnan much so we decided to use a tour guide. 

Before the tour, we had more than 80 emails and almost all my emails were responded within minutes, even when it was past midnight in China.  It was really the professionalism that won us over. 

Once we were in China, a friend of us recommended we skipped Yulong Mountain due to the lack of snow in summer.  Rosey was quick to provide different options and we ended up having a great time in Lashi Lake.

She was very patient and attentive to our needs.  With the kids, we had many unpredictable needs for stops, and Rosey and her drive had been very patient.

More importantly, she is very knowledgeable to the area since she was born in Tiger Leaping Gorge.  I wouldn't imagine walking the Mid TLG trail without her.

 Rosey is great at taking care of my family throughout the trip. She has very good effort trying to make the trip as comfortable as possible for my elderly parents.  She owned a little café in Baisha village and she is a great cook! Do try buckwheat tea there very nice!     

I booked a 4.5-day tour with Rosey that brought me from Lijiang to Tiger Leaping Gorge to Shangri-La and back to Lijiang. I shared my experience with the pictures I took and some of my friends have showed interest. I will not hesitate to recommend Rosey to them and here's 3 reasons why:

1) Rosey responses to your needs - While traveling on the road, she would bring me to good view points and constantly ask me whether I want to stop for a picture shoot as I told her my priority is photography. She is patient and didn't rush me even when I was among the last batch of visitors to leave Pudacuo National Park and exceeded the appointed time to link up with her by some 90min. I made an ad-hoc adjustment to the travel plan by re-visiting Shika Snow Mountain a 2nd time and she had no problems adjusting the travel plans for that day.

2) Rosey is knowledgeable - She's the one to hire if you want to trek at Tiger Leaping Gorge. She makes trekking through the gorge like a walk in the park! I didn't listen to her advice regarding the hotel that I booked at Shangri-La. I should have, because I ended up with a room that couldn't keep out the cold well. 

3) Rosey offers value for $ option - She knows where to bring me to suit my taste for food that is not overly salty and oily. She gave instruction for food to be prepared the way I like. Also, the prices of the food she introduced were at a very reasonable 'local' price, which I think is very important for tourists.

The driver, a lady by the name of Peng, is a capable and experience driver. She is alert, friendly and helpful. Consider the Rosy-Peng combination if you are traveling by road to Shangri-La.
