We booked Rosey + car and driver for 4 days and had an excellent time in Yunnan thanks to her guidance and kindness.

She picked us up in Dali airport (she was there one hour before just in case) and organized the visits of Dali, Lijiang and finally Shangri-La, including Jade Dragon mountain and Leaping Tiger Gorge (her home village) on the way. She proposed many things to visit and was also very attentive to our wishes. We had booked hotels by ourselves through booking.com (our choice) but we were very fortunate to have her to bring us there, which often required calling the hotel to get better directions than what was available on booking.com (which would have been very difficult without speaking Chinese).

Her English is really good enough, and exchanges with her were very easy and relaxed. We had interesting explanations and answers to all of our questions, she knows the country really well. I really recommend her as a guide, probably one the best choices in upper Yunnan. We were three middle aged French people, but I think she'd be fine for any type of group, she is very professional. 

We booked Rosey for a tour of Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Shangri La and Meili Snow Mountain. I would thoroughly recommend Rosey - nothing was too much trouble. She is very knowledgeable having grown up in this area and she was patient and informative at every step of the trip. We would not have been able to do the trip without Rosey. She helped us with language everywhere we went, organised amazing lunches and knew exactly where the best spots for taking photographs were. Rosey's Driver Mark was very safe and reliable, knowing the roads extremely well and managing the snow and ice with skill - his many years of experience of driving the roads in the winter were very apparent, and appreciated! Rosey took us to places we never would have seen and was all round the best possible guide we could have wished for. She organised the perfect itinerary, as well as all passes and permits etc for all sights and parks. I booked Rosey for three days during my trip to Yunnan Province. Best decision I ever made!  

Rosey planned an itinerary that included both Lijiang and Shangri-La and each day was chock full of activities. I never knew we could fit so much into each day, from horseback riding to boating to sightseeing to hiking. I was happily exhausted every night (though I don't believe Rosey even broke a sweat!)  As a solo out-of-shape traveler, I must say Rosey was very patient and accommodating, moving as slowly as I required. She is very friendly and professional and I felt I was in very good hands!  

If you book her services in Shangri-La, please ask her to take you to a restaurant there (she knows the one) which possibly has the best Chinese food you've ever tasted in your life!!  Also, she took me to her family's guesthouse in Tiger Leaping Gorge for lunch one day, and the food was also outstanding.  I had a hamburger which was like no other hamburger I had ever eaten, but delicious!!  Honestly I was planning to order something Chinese but a couple of Austrian hikers I met there were raving about it so much I had to try it. :) Happy I did!  

Rosey's driver was also friendly and competent, though he spoke no English. Rosey's English, however, is very fluent and she is very knowledgeable.  Yunnan must be one of the most beautiful places on earth, and Rosey sure showed it off to its greatest advantage!  Thank you, Rosey!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I had one day to spend for a tour, and wanted to see the Middle Gorge of Leaping Tiger Gorge.  With short notice, Rosey was able to provide me the hike more than I was hoping for.  The Middle Gorge is everything that a person can't imagine with the trails cut into the cliff, old bridges, and switchbacks.  Rosey sister Lucy met me in LiJiang and drove me to their family Guest House (Sean Guest House, @ http://www.tigerleapinggorge.com/enter.html) that I strongly encourage anyone to stay at for a remarkable experience.  The drive to Middle Gorge was typical of any drive through the mountains, until the last few kilometers, where the adventure begin.  Do not worry, these ladies have been driving this road longer than most of us have dreamed of traveling.  Just grip your camera, lean out the window, and take incredible photos of the winding road.  Their father Sean is a great man, who enjoys talking to travelers on their journey and pleasant to spend time with drinking buckwheat tea.  Lucy was kind enough to walk at my pace, and give me time to catch my breath and rest, which was necessary at my age.  It was incredible meeting the local villagers that work everyday down in the bottom of the Gorge and make this commute that makes our daily journey to work seem non existent.  This is a hike that has to be experienced to understand, because there can't be enough words written to describe, except to say from the time we started off from Sean Guest House, I felt giddy like a young boy clambering over the trail, and could not take enough photos.

After the tour, Lucy encouraged me to visit few other places and show me some delicious dinner, but after a day hike like that, what could ever compare with that experience.  Lucy took the country road back to LiJiang covering a different way that earlier that day, giving descriptions of the local area.

I would say, for the experience I shared, the places I seen, Rosey tour is the best in my memory.

Fristly, I would like to thank Rosey so much for her detail supports in my trip to Yunan.
I was really impressed by the beautiful scenes in Shangrila and Lugu lake. Although the weather was not good in Shangrila, rain in the frist day but we still had interesting time.
The drive is rather nice. Although he show his attitude not pleased in some days but everything is fine in general. He drive very well, fast, carefull and he always support us enthusiastically when we had some troubles.

I maybe come back Yunan to go to Lugu lake again and I will contact to Rosey for arranging my trip.
 

We contacted Rosey by email for car rental in Kunming-Dali-Lijiang-Shangri-La during our trip in April 2015. She was very active via email that was the main reason for using her service this time. She was always prompt to answer our questions and gave us the advices for our trip. She had the good arrangement for our schedule calling and making the appointment with us during we were in China.

In addition, we were very happy with our drivers and their service even we cannot speak Chinese. The drivers were very good and professional especially Shangri-La trip.
