We are Australians living and working in China and visited Yunnan with 2 Swedish friends in May 2015. We booked Tashi as our guide based on many recommendations in Trip Advisor and were so lucky we did. He is truly fantastic guide. So much local knowledge, fun, interesting, sooooo many fun stories, safe and took us to places we would never have found. Tashi also organised a very safe and careful driver. Distances are vast here so you need to a good driver. We booked Tashi for 4 days, 1 day in Shangri La, 2 days in Tiger Leaping Gorge, 1 day in ShaXi and then stopped in Lijiang. Tasha helped us with our itinerary as we didn't leave enough time between places. Also he suggested we add middle gorge which was our highlight. We had so much fun and you must book Tashi to really make your experience extra ordinary. PS - his English is fabulous.

We are Australian and have been living in China for 3 years. We have travelled to many places and booked guides before but our time with Tashi has been the best ever experience.  Tashi helped us explore Shangri La, Tiger Leaping Gorge, ShaXi and Lijiang for 4 days in May 2015.  it is a beautiful peaceful place but was made extra special for the 4 of us because of Tashi's expert guidance.  Tashi is so patient, helpful, interesting, funny and caring. He has excellent English and we saw places we would never have found ourselves.  We were so lucky to find him through recommendations and hope you get to enjoy a trip with Tashi in this very special part of China.  

Tashi was a wonderful guide! Very knowledgeable, very friendly and easy-going, made our day with him very easy and interesting. We spent a day visiting markets, restaurants, and temples in Shangri-La.

I would certainly enlist his services again, for a longer trip next time into the country-side. He speaks both Mandarin and Tibetan (as well as good English).

Tashi took me around Shangri-La for a day. He is Tibetan, so he really nows the area, the people, their culture and their language perfectly well. His English is really good and he is fun to hang aroung with. I had a great day, learned a lot and would definitely do a tour with him again when I come back - next time maybe for more than just one day!

My husband and I did a tour of Shangri-la  with Tashi. We couldn't have asked for a better guide in Tashi. He was informative, pleasant and a joy to be around. We learnt so much about the places and the culture of the area. Nothing was too difficult for Tashi, he was accommodating and an all-around A-plus guide!
