This was one of my favorite tours in Asia!!!
ruwan was fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history, culture and attractions. He started the tour by telling us the history of Sri Lanka then step by step he came to current situation. Old stories are very interesting to hear about kings, their wives, general people and their life style.

We first did a tour to historical sites and see the village community/neighborhood. We toured to rural areas and watched paddy field cultivation, Slash and burn cultivation, village ladies with beautiful smile. Finally we spent time on the beach…
This tour is informative, interesting and beautiful on so many levels.

I have no hesitation to recommend ruwan at ruwantrips to anyone who likes to visit Sri Lanka.

Do you think you can enjoy a week holiday in Sri Lanka even with rain everyday?

Yes you can.

The important think is to have a AC Van, a driver, but mostly a you absolutely need a very professional tour guide happy to bring you to visit his beautiful country givin you all the experience he has. This is Ruwan, serious but funny, flexible and smiling always ready to satisfy your request.

We have travelled in 7 (3 adults & 4 young guys) according to a plan studied together with him to better join the different needs of adults and young. From the Turtles of the south sea till the unique landscape city of Sigiriya, crossing the amazing Sri Lanka countryside. 

Ruwan has worked hard to guarantee us the most confortable holiday make us forget the rain. With him we experienced a lunch in the forest with singalese people, a day adventure making rafting in a river, a very clear explanation of the Temples and historical sites. 

Finally suggest you Ruwan is really very easy for me. Ruwan is surely the best choice for you to discover Sri lanka.

Outstanding Tour Guide!

We have just returned from an amazing tour of beautiful Sri Lanka with Ruwan.

We provided Ruwan an overview of what we wanted to do and see in Sri Lanka including cycling in the hill country and coastal regions.

Ruwan was extremely professional researching our trip prior to arriving, developing a detailed itinerary and suggesting the must see attractions.

Throughout our tour Ruwan was very organized ensuring things ran smoothly. He is extremely passionate about his home country and very knowledgeable making it an interesting and rewarding trip.

Most of all Ruwan's relaxed nature ensured we did not feel rushed and he tailored the trip to our pace.

We just returned from our unforgettable trip in tea Country (Sri Lanka) a couple of days ago. At the beginning I was really afraid being a small family traveling in Sri Lanka due to the stories that we heard from media but it was really safe, our guide Ruwan who arranged the tour whom I found his name on the travel forums was absolutely fantastic, I was really in a safe hands & felt very confident on him, I can't say how he looked after us he is with an excellent English, well mannered, honest and eloquent. So I’m very much happy to recommend him to anyone who like to visit Sri Lanka.

We had the pleasure of Ruwan's company on our recent 2 week holiday and cannot speak highly enough of him as a guide.

Ruwan is very genuine with a good sense of humour and honest nature. He has an impressive knowledge of the country's history and always had an answer to any question. We really felt like Ruwan had our best interests at heart and worked very hard to make our holiday special. Nothing was too much trouble, he was very flexible and understanding and never pushy. If he felt like we were keen to explore more he would happily continue on, showing us more sights and giving us more background, if he sensed we were "templed-out" he was happy to move on elsewhere and if we wanted to chill out he would give us space to relax.

Importantly, Ruwan became our friend and we were sad to say goodbye. Thank you Ruwan for a memorable trip, we hope to return again one day :)

we did only a 8hours day tour in Colombo with him due to our limited time however we look forward to visit Sri Lanka again and travel with ruwan
