We've been in a tour with Ruwan trips for 15 days covering all the south-central part of Sri Lanka. Ruwan was not only the perfect guy but we also considered him as a friend. We planned the tour from home, still, Ruwan was very flexible and opened to any of our new ideas like visiting the villages or the open market or skipping the initial plan and moving to another city. He never tried to impose , but only proposed us several options to choose from and all the time he was able to offer all the information about a specific place we visited.  We spent a very good time in Sri Lanka especially thanked to Ruwan  who was very professional, kind, flexible and funny.

Thank you Ruwan Trips for showing us the best of Sri Lanka and being a friend for us. We are highly recommending him as a guide in Sri Lanka.

One of the first impressions i heard about Sri Lanka was that it is a piece of heaven. At that point, i considered it was too much to say for such a small country. By the end of my trip, i realized that those are the only words that can describe best what Sri Lanka is all about.

Ceylon is wonderful not only because of its landscapes, history and  atmosphere. It is really special because of its people. People like Ruwan (Ruwantrips), our tour guide, who placed our vacation in Sri Lanka on the list of the best vacations ever. Thank you , Ruwan, for your patience, kindness, humour and unconditional availability. Thank you for offering us much more than we have ever expected. Ruwan is the perfect host for a tour in Sri Lanka. Careful, patient, friendly, helpful, was like the fourth member of our group. He exceeded our expectations in every way. We stayed for 14 days and he was everywhere with us explaining, sharing and advising. Is very punctual and honest, and his knowledge about history will fulfill anyone's  expectation. The tour can be change as needed depending on your wishes and circumstances. I hope to go back to Sri Lanka and find Ruwan not like a guide but like a friend.

We travelled to SriLanka between 13 and 18 May 2013. We came across Ruwans contact details on Synotrip and inquired with him for a vehicle and driver for our itinerary. He was most prompt and responsive in sharing all information with us. We had a most wonderful 6 days in Srilanka with him and Ravi who was driving the vehicle. Both of them were very friendly and helpful and showed us around all the attractions. Ravi drives very safely and we felt very secure and comfortable in going around the place with them. I'm so glad that we discovered Ruwan on Synotrip! We looked through A LOT of posts online and through Trip Advisor to research and find ourselves a driver for our 2 week trip through Sri Lanka. Let me save you some time - Ruwan is exceptional! My guess is that if you are on this site doing some research yourself - then look no further.

I sent Ruwan a message to see if he was available (fingers crossed) for the dates that we had planned - and the response was quick and professional. I was reassured that he was genuine - he provided a copy of his tour license and a previous customer reference (who I spoke to and the report was glowing).
Ruwan was very flexible with our trip plan, and provided us with quite unique experiences. We managed to tick off all the places that we wanted to see - and avoid those tourist traps. We did not feel rushed, even though we covered a lot of ground. Ruwan organised our bike tour, cooking class, market vists, meeting artisans and pit stops at those yummy local bakeries! Nothing was too much trouble.

Ruwan's story telling style explanations of the history and culture made it easy to understand and listen to. We often got the low down on a site in the van on the way to our destination - which meant that when we got there we actually had time to peacefully enjoy the site and really take it in (without being talked at all the time) - which in a way felt like more of a private experience, and more memorable.

My husband is very tall - but Ruwan's vehicle was roomy (lots of head room), very clean and comfortable. We had our own passenger AC (which was a relief on a hot day... every day). Also a shout out to Ravi (Ruwan's driver) - a cool cat on those crazy roads, we felt safe and looked after. And here's a tip for back seat drivers (like me)... just look out the passenger window and enjoy the view, the roads are quite chaotic and rough at times - but trust your driver, as it's much less stressful if you don't watch the road :)
