Traveled with Timmy Tao for 14 days to Nu river valley, Dali, Lijiang and Kunming.  The trip was fantastic largely due to her excellent abilities as a guide and just plain being a fun person to travel with.  She is prompt, honest and speaks good enough English to have long, thoughtful conversations. 

Timmy is an experienced guide who has contacts everywhere.  She clearly communicates travel options and really knows what foreign travelers are looking for as far as site seeing, food, hotels, etc.  Her good English combined with the fact she is a native of Yunnan means she can give insight to the local culture you would be hard pressed to get elsewhere.  The fact she is a licensed guide is important too as she get in free at most attractions.

She has more reviews on synotrip than anyone else in Yunnan because of all those reasons plus the fact she really does treat her guests as good friends.  

If you are looking for a guide anywhere in Yunnan Province you will not go wrong with Timmy.

Did all contacting and arrangements via email before we arrived in Kunming for

transportation requirements to Shilin and Jiuxiang; afforable prices, everything

went well without a hitch...top-notch planner...very satisfied with her services and

We could not imaging a better friendly helpful person, arranging our own ideas, completing theese with her knowledge, experience, good humor, taking care of every step, writing all the necessary information in chinese letters, when we wanted to do something apart of the sites we did together. Thanks to Timmy, we never felt lost, she was permanently available with sms, day and night! Thank you Timmy - and last but not least, again for the rose-cookies!

I was so impressed with Timmy Tao as my tour guide last year that I hired her again this year.  Last year my tour was only for 1 1/2 days in and around Kunming but this year my tour was for 7 days, at the end of May, beginning of June and covered much more of Yunnan Province.  

Timmy is everything you would want in a tour guide being friendly with a great smile, always on time, very knowledgeable, especially about the minorities and experienced dealing with foreigners.  She will go anywhere and do anything that you would want to do and offer suggestions on how best to accomplish your goals.  Her communication skills are excellent for speaking English and keeping you updated about your trip via e-mail.  

I had the privilege of meeting Timmy's family this year, her grandmother, parents, sister, uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews.  All very special people who I would look forward to seeing again.  We also visited close by Fuxian Lake, and walked around her home town.  It was all such a special experience seeing and feeling the rural life of Yunnan.  On another day, on my suggestion, we went to see her University that she was about to graduate from.  Timmy is so modest but very proud of her academic achievements at school.  

We also went to Western Hill for a wonderful hike and the next day had a great trip to the Stone Forest which was quite unique.  Our last day was spent going to a minority market place meant only for the local people.  This was especially nice as you saw the minorities dressed in their everyday attire bargaining for and buying the goods and services that they use themselves.  

All in all I had a very memorable trip to Yunnan province thanks to Timmy who guided me to very enjoyable experiences.  Going to Yunnan is all about seeing beautiful country and visiting with the minority people and there is no better guide than Timmy Tao.  I highly recommend her to be your guide on your trip to Yunnan Province.  

My name is Yolamda and my husband Aland and I were very fortunate to have Timmy as our tour guide in Kunming last week. We are from Poland and this was our first trip to China. Timmy arranged for a driver and car to meet us at the airport and deliver us to our hotel.  The next morning Timmy arrived before 9am to meet us in our hotel lobby to start the first amazing days of touring Stone Forest and Jiuxiang Caves. She speaks excellent English; her knowledge of Chinese culture is superb and she knows all the best places to visit and the best way to get there. Timmy took care of all our details including tickets to the Dynamic Yunnan show and dinner reservations at a nice restaurant . Our time in Kunming was so exciting and we covered so much and it was all because of the wonderful treatment we received from Timmy. This was the first time we had hired a guide in a foreign city and it was such a positive experience. Timmy is fun with sense of humor and young.  We will definitely recommend her to friends . Next time we like to travel to the south of Yunnan and hope we have the opportunity to see Timmy in Yunnan again one day. 

Timmy was really helpful and friendly. Se was very prompt with the emails when we are arranging the trip and able to tailor the itinerary according to our needs. She listed all the costs to us clearly before we set off, making it easier for us to budget for the trip.

Initially book a 3 day trip covering with Kunming and Dali with Timmy. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances, she wasn't able to bring us around Dali. However, she quickly find an replacement guide for us. 

Enjoyed the trip with her to Shilin and JiuXiang in Kunming. She knew these 2 places quite well and is able to share with us many interesting facts and stories about the attractions.
