I am a Licensed Tour Guide & Tour Operator in Iran, authorized to organize tours for Americans and accompany them by the national tourism organization (listed as special guide for Americans, Brits and Canadians in the Iranian MFA guide's list, able to provide Iranian visa support). I graduated in electrical and electronic engineering in 2003.

This guy is just awesome. Hamed listens to you and is versatile and able to think on his feet so it doesn't matter what you want to do or see in Iran, Hamed will give you ideas and options and you will get there. Our last couple of trips have been pretty challenging because of what I wanted to achieve. I'm pretty sure that most people in the positions we found ourselves in would crumble but not Hamed - he just persevered until we were able to get what we wanted. It was our first time to Iran and we did not quite know what to expect of a tour guide. Hamed was brilliant. He took a lot of care to understand what our interests in Iran were and the type of tour we wanted . He was sensitive to the personal space we wanted and checked the tour was meeting our expectations frequently . He was able to achieve a good balance between the structured and unstructured parts of our itinerary . Where hotels that we had selected were fully booked he was able to find others that matched our expectation . He personally ensured that the rooms we were checked into were of 'western traveller' standards He had a very broad knowledge of many different topics from music, to history to food to textiles and if he did not know something he would try and find out. He was always prompt and made us feel in safe hands - even when crossing the chaotic streets of Tehran :) We will go back to Iran one day and we will definitely seek Hamed to be our guide next time around. We spent three weeks travelling with Hamed in October / November 2016. Hamed gave us very good advice in the planning phase and selected very suitable hotels and guesthouses for our stay. He put together a personalized intinerary that enabled us to see very different sides of the country. With him we drove a total of 4,000 kilometers from Tabriz to Shiraz via the Caspian Sea, Tehran, Kashan, Isfahan, Yazd and Kerman. We felt very safe in his hands and our stops along the route were also a great part of the trip. Hamed made our stay in Iran very special and had excellent suggestions, for example, when we had to change our plans due to snowy weather. Hamed speaks excellent English. He is extremely knowledgeable but never overloads you with too many details and dates. We unreservedly recommend Hamed as a guide and would definitely use him again. Read less

We drove from Tabriz to Astara to the Caspian Sea to Tehran to Kashan to Yazd to Isfahan to Shiraz. Hamed's arrangements and planning was up to the mark. He was Punctual, Courteous, Very knowledgeable and Professional and a Great Sitar player with which he entertained us throughout the trip. We fell in love with the People, the History, the Culture and the Food and are planning to take another trip to visit Western Iran, Georgia and Azerbaijan with Hamed. I finally decided to visit Iran in September 2016 and I was extremely lucky by choosing Mr. Dastpak as my private tour guide and driver. Always available and kindly supportive, he helped me to organize the trip, providing all the information I needed, issuing my authorization code to visit the country and recommending/arranging excellent hotels, historical sites, museums, gardens, restaurants, coffee shops and bazaars, meeting my expectations and considering my priorities. I didn't have any concern during my enjoyable journey through Tehran, Kashan, Esfahan, Persepolis and Shiraz. Mr. Dastpak is very knowledgeable about the ancient Persia and the modern Iran, sharing incredible histories and details about their culture, people, history, religion, economy, politics, architecture, cuisine and historical sites, revealing one of the most interesting, strong and enigmatic countries I have visited. He introduced me to local people in wonderful dinners and teas, where I could share ideas, facts and opinions with them, experiencing real Iranian daily life. Mr. Dastpak is highly understanding, being able to adapt an on-going trip to the customer preferences, style and expectations. He is also a such cheerful, polite, amusing and enthusiastic person. We spent 10 days with Hamed recently on a tour from Tehran to Shiraz. He greeted us at the Airport at 2am in the morning, thrusting a bouquet of flowers into my wife arms. Then it was off to our Hotel, and we we were more or less with him full time for the rest of our trip. Hamed can be full on , or you can see him for a few hours a day. The choice was ours. Hamed speaks excellent English and from him we learnt a lot about Modern Iran as well as Ancient Iran.
