We visited Beijing in April and hired Coco and a driver Mr Sung for a tour of Mutianyu Great Wall, Summer Palace and the Hutong.

We started our day with a seven thirty pick up and got to the wall by nine am, an early start but worth it as the wall was virtually tourist free. We spent two hours on the wall and got some great photos.

The Summer Palace came next and we managed to avoid the long queues waiting to get in (all official guides can use separate entrance) and we enjoyed a sunny afternoon learning about the history of the palace and enjoying the views over the lake.

Our final destination was to a hutong which we toured in a pedicab, which was great fun. Inside the Hutong we visited a family home and met the owner and took a trip to a local food market.

Throughout the day Coco answered any questions we had and gave us  plenty of information about the sights and about many  aspects of life in Beijing.

We found Coco to be an excellent guide, she speaks fluent english is well informed and has a good sense of humour. We would have no hesitation in recommending Coco to anyone in need of a guide. 

Had the time of my life all thanks to Coco. I don't use a lot of guides when traveling the world, but have used enough to know a great one from a good one. Coco is a great guide. She is not only knowledgeable and professional, but also funny, engaging, warm and genuinely interested in you. Coco seems to learn as much from you as you do from her and that is refreshing. The trip had all the bells and whistles, hitting all the major sites over three very full days. However it was the little things that made the difference. Things like making sure my pick up was still there even if my flight was over an hour late. Taking public transport all over the city like a native, eating lunch in local restaurants (where I'm the only westerner in the place), not taking me to tourist shopping stores, and treating my money was as if it were her own. She made sure I always had pictures taken and the best spots for that perfect shot. We were always rushing around, timing the sites just right, but for some reason it never seemed like we were in a hurry. If I ever come back to Beijing, I can tell you for certain who I will be using as a guide. Thank you Coco.  

We have just returned from our trip to Beijing where we were lucky enough to have the guide services of Coco. Having been to this amazing city before, this time we challenged Coco with a few experiences that are off the usual tourist trail and she came through for us. Coco is a terrific young woman with a lot of knowledge of her city and the Chinese culture. During our 4 days together we became more than clients, but friends, and Coco went to great lengths to make our time so memorable. There were many attractions that we visited but the highlight for us was our day to Sun Village. Having found out about this deserving charity from Coco's page we were determined to make a small difference to these children, and Coco helped us shop for some clothes and other items that the children need and get value for our donation. Make sure you ask Coco about this when you visit Beijing. You won't be sorry.

There can be no better recommendation than say that on our next visit to Beijing, Coco will be our first and only choice for guide services. Thanks so much again Coco.

With my flight to Beijing delayed for more than 10hours, I was panicking because I would have wasted a day trip.

However, with Coco, she made it possible for me and my mom to see and experience as much as possible. I was very touched with the warmth she and her driver (Mr Zhao) provided. It was unlike any other trips I’ve been to. Me and my mom were caught with a flu during the trip and she brought us to get some medicine. My mom got it worse and they are both constantly asking how she was feeling.

Her historical knowledge is rich and she’s very kind. I am very glad that I have Coco for my Beijing trip because not only I had learnt lots about China history, I had truly enjoyed myself. Thankyou Coco and Mr Zhao for your hospitality!

She's not only a local professional licensed guide who can tell you all the history about everything, she genuinely wants you to have a good visit to Beijing. She avoided all the tourist traps and fought off the street vendors for us!

I see that other reviewers went with her multiple times, and I will definitely be doing the same. Coco showed us around Beijing, and even connected us to her friend (who was also an excellent guide) for our visit to Xian.

IF(!) you decide to go with someone else, be sure to ask for a picture of their tour guide license. I've seen a fake one that takes you to all the tourist traps for their commissions.

This is getting to be a habit ! 4th  time in Beijing and 3rd time using Coco as my tour guide !

I now can not imagine coming to Beijing without meeting my guide / assistant / friend , Coco .

To folks like me who have done all the usual touristy things , and want to get off the tourist trail , Coco is the best . This time we visited an orphanage and Coco was able to take me to a wholesale market to buy the kids some gloves and shoes and stuff . She is an expert bargainer with the locals ! Even managed to negotiate the purchase of 50kg of chicken for the kids , and got it and me to the orphanage in a taxi !

We went strawberry picking in mid winter !

Plus she looked after the son of a friend of mine who was young student and inexperienced and lonely in Beijing . She found him and took him places and cheered him up . And wouldn't accept any payment !

For the first time visitor she can guide you and your family / group to all the usual places with friendly professionalism and smooth organisation .

In summary : A wonderful guide , and a wonderful person . And great value for money .
