I just returned from Beijing (9/2014) where I spent two days seeing the sights, one with Jason and one with Lucy.  I was in Beijing to compete in the Beijing International Triathlon, and afterwards I added a couple of days to see some sights.  Jason and Lucy were both superb!  I was never rushed at anything we did, and I felt completely relaxed.  Both of them were knowledgeable and adaptable.  If something caught my attention, they were attentive to that and didn't try to follow a set agenda.  This ability to be spontaneous and personable lends a very easy-going and friendly competence to their work.  Prior to my arrival, Coco was timely and efficient in her communication, and this was really helpful.  I have worked as an adventure travel guide in the States, and so I know great guides when I work with them.  Coco, Jason, and Lucy were absolutely topnotch! 5/5 stars all the way!

Coco and Jason run a FANTASTIC tour guide service. Coco assisted us in booking train tickets throughout China. Any issues that arose linking transfers to hotel bookings in our self planned itinerary were fixed ensuring our 3 weeks traveling China as a family went incident free. THANK YOU COCO! Jason was our guide in Beijing. He is a SENSATIONAL guide! He spoke with enthusiasm regarding the history of Beijing, gave us insights into the current lifestyle of the local Beijing people, and shared his personal stories with us. ***** 5 STARS for Coco and Jason ! The best guide service I ever had in 30+ years of travelling . SO professional , SO funny and friendly . I have visited Beijing 6 times now , but didn't know about Coco the first couple of times . Then I found her by accident and she has made my whole experience of China so much richer and deeper .

You see , the thing about China is you don't really get the full picture until you have walked and talked and interacted with a trusted local , and let them take you on a journey into the fascinating world of the real China . Because , away from the touristy things , there is a world of friendly faces , of laughter , of new food experiences and all manner of things that are so intriguing to the Western mind . But to access it you need someone you can trust and be comfortable with . I can honestly say that there is nobody better than Coco , and her husband Jason . And even the touristy things seem fresh and exciting with Coco and Jason leading the way .

They do so much more for their clients that is above and beyond the call of duty . Example : I needed some Western medication , not readily available in Chinese pharmacies . But she rang around and finally located a source , THEN met my taxi , 50 km outside of Beijing ( ! ) and handed the medicine over with a smile as if it was all part a normal day's work ! AND was reluctant to even accept payment for the medicine , let alone her time !

That sort of service is the hallmark of someone exceptionally good at what they do . If I sound enthusiastic it is because , as a traveller , I like to give good tips to other travellers so they can have those 'WOW ' kind of experiences around the world . In Beijing , Coco is one of those 'WOW'' experiences . Her feedback here , and on Tripadvisor , is pretty much the highest in the industry , for good reason .

First I will start with the fact we called a day before we wanted to see the great wall, and a trip was organized for the next morning, no problem. But what was supposed to be a day trip to the Great Wall turned into much more.Coco was extremely laid back, not the normal pushy, checking their watch every minute, tour guide that I am used to. She also sneakly helped us bargain for traditional crafts telling us what was quality and what was not, and pointed out many shopping spots that we could also go to, to ensure some interesting purchases.

My father was on a business trip and after Coco learned he had no ride to his meetings and hadn't booked the train ticket to Shanghai she was immediately on the phone hiring a car for the Beijing meetings (because we were on a huge time crunch) and the railway station for a ticket to Shanghai. She even called my fathers partners that dont speak english very well to set up a times to pick us up and informed them if we were coming to a meeting. She physically brought us to the place were we could buy our train tickets and helped us purchase them, and even dropped us off at a show after where she had pre ordered tickets for us. My father also ended up calling her even days after for help calling people and setting up more meetings, and she was happy to help out.

I would enthusiastically recommend Coco for anything that would be needed for a trip in Shanghai, whatever the challenge may be leave it to Coco to figure out a way!

As the travel coordinator of a group of 24 students, I was searching for affordable yet high-quality ways to get cultural insights of Beijing. One days I stumbled upon synotrip.com and contacted several tour guides and inquired info about tours and prices.

Coco immediately stood out of the crowd. She responded extremely quickly, very kind, helpful and enthusiastic. She helped me to plan two perfectly-organized days in Beijing and surroundings. In the planning she was very flexible and always had great advice. She also helped us getting tickets for the overnight train to Shanghai in advance, which is often sold out quickly. On a side note: Coco paid for those tickets and trusted me to pay her upon arrival. A very impressive act of kindness, in my eyes!

Even when I almost messed up the planning (a mistake regarding the arrival date) she was super flexible and saved me quite a lot of trouble :-)

One day before the start of the tour, we met up in our hotel and Coco brought along SIM cards and a lot of helpful info to get us all started and settled-in. The next day, she started amazing all members of the group with her funny character, her knowledge about China, Beijing and all cultural sights and her perfect organization. All of us have never experienced any tour guide better and more fun than Coco.
Coco introduced herself as "your Chinese friend, not your tour guide". And that is exactly how it felt all along those two spectacular days!

She clearly went the extra mile, quickly swapped around parts of the program to adopt the program to time delays, weather etc. But she made sure we got exactly what we wanted and that we do not pay any Yuan in excess.

Even when we were about to leave, she showed up at our hotel to bring us to the central station - which was not agreed but extremely helpful and sweet.

We said goodbye to Coco with a big round of applause and lots of hugs. And you can be sure - no single member of our group will book any other tour guide once we return to Beijing.

Coco hosted myself and my wife for 4 days in Beijing in April 2013.  Coco did an excellent job on all aspects of our visit.  Her knowledge of China's history and  how this relates to the the historical sites in Beijing was perfect.  Throughout our tour visits Coco helped to connect the history of one with the others in a manner that has me wanting to learn more about China's rich , and long, history.  While planning our trip Coco's communications were quick, clear, and direct.  She helped with all aspects of planning including schedule, hotel, train, local shows, and daily plans.  She quickly understood our personal style of travel and helped us accordingly.  Her arrival in the morning was on time and her plans were well organized.  Coco quickly became a friend to both of us.  I highly recommend Coco for any travel guide services you need while in Beijing.  Her professional ability combined with her bright interactive style were enjoyable and first class.  Thank you Coco!
