i have been working as an interpreter and tour guide for two years. i know Guangzhou very well,not only for markets but also night out and food.

i like travel a lot. partly because i like new things, to meet strangers, to know different cultures and also because i can see myself better when i travel . its real and i like this feeling. that's also why i came up with this idea to sign up this website to be the tour guide.

for my travel experience, i have backpacked in Europe and southeast Asia.during that time i have been doing volunteer jobs .and i have live in Germany for 6 months to work in one language school to teach Chinese.that was absolutely amazing life expertise for me!

We have clients who are looking for cosmetic packaging.So in order to help sourcing,I went to one wholesale market called Guangzhou Xingfa Cosmetics Market.It is one of the 3 top cosmetic market in Guangzhou.In here you will find many shops selling cosmetics, cosmetic packaging and hair tools etc.Regarding the packaging,there is one special area called the packaging one stop market(包材总汇市场)which is located in 2nd floor,here you will be able to find so many different packaging.Some of them are trading company,some shops are factory direct selling.So if you are looking for packaging,this is good place to visit and compare.
Nearby you will find another market called Yifa Cosmetic wholesale market which is quite the same. And have thousands of shops selling cosmetics.I do not think you can even cover all shops in one week as there are so many.
By walking further(one metro station distance),you will find our Guangzhou biggest wholesale market called”Meibo Cheng”.All cosmetics shops and packaging etc are much centralized here,on 3rd floor of the building,you will find many packaging shops which can check the variety and prices etc.
Because all shops are located and distributed in different places and wholesale market,if you need to source some items,we have to spend lots of time cover so many shops in order to find good supplier and prices. So I think by now,you should also realize the sourcing work is not easy.

What to see in Kaili city

The second thing is the Sunday market, held every five days. Set along the river, the market retains its amazing size and atmosphere as well as many of its wooden homes and buildings.

Villages around kaili
Kaili is host to more than 120 Miao festivals throughout the year. The arts and crafts of the Miao, including jewelry, embroidery, brocade, batik, and papercutting, are renowned.

Most of the European visitors choose to stay in Kaili for 2-3 nights, it is the only place where basic accommodation facilities are available in this area; it is also convenient to start from Kaili to visit many native villages nearby.  Every attraction is within two hours driving distance.

Local Festivals
Numerous ethnic festivals with different styles available to visit in different seasons all the year round, the best time for profectional photographers.

In ordinary days, difficult to see a native miao girl to dress up totally in traditonal costume.  For a whole set of silver ornament from head to toe, the dress matches different ages, it takes hours to put everything on!   You can only see them on big festivals. 

Famous festivals: the Dragon Boat Festival, Dragon Lantern Festival, Lusheng Performance, Sisters' Meal Festival, New Rice Eating Festival, Miao New Year,ect. It may be said:' Customs and styles are different in a short distance of 5km; grand festivals occur every three days while minor ones everyday.' The local customs and practices and ethnic dietary culture can be appreciated here.

How to go to Kaili
There are few trains from Guiyang to Kaili, no airport in Kaili, most of travelers come here by road.

It is very convenient to get there if you are in Guangzhou,China .

You can take by Express Train from Guanghzou South Station and get off at Shun De station .

This is Farm like Amusement Park . You can play many games in there , such as :roller coaster，sky wheel,glide. If you don't like this irritative games , you can take a boat with your firends on the lake .

Besides, this farm is so big and includes an animal park . You can see many kinds of animal .

I think the most interesting part is enjoying the animal show . The show is very funny and many audiences enjoy it .

The ticket of this farm is 120yuan(include the entrance ticket , animal park ticket and playing card ).  I have bought the ticket on the internet . So, i just used 110yuan and got the ticket . HaHa..

The heart of Guangzhou's former European concession—France and England both set up shop on this sandy river island in 1859 toward the end of the Opium Wars—Shamian Island is home to a number of colonial-era buildings, including a restored French Catholic church, Our Lady of Lourdes; its British Protestant complement, the Christ Church Shamian; and many former hotels, embassies, trading houses and residences.

The island (actually a permanent sand bank in the Pearl River) makes for pleasant strolling and sightseeing, with its gardens and tree-lined streets, restaurants, cafes and tea houses. You can stay on Shamian Island, if you wish; there is a youth hostel for backpackers and several hotels provide a higher degree of accommodations, with the five-star White Swan Hotel being a particularly popular hotel among travelers, a number of whom are in Guangzhou to adopt (the US Consulate is next door, making legwork and paperwork easier).

History

Shamian Island was a very important port for Guangzhou’s foreign trade during the rule of the Song and Qing Dynasties, and for several centuries this tiny patch of land was the only place in China that any foreigner was permitted to live. As such, you will find a great deal of 18th century European and American-style architecture. The island also became a strategic point, and the location of some conflict, during the Opium Wars. During this time the territory was divided into two parts, the French concession and the British concession. The differences in architecture and cultural legacy remain to this day.

Sites

Although it is not exactly laden down with landmarks, Shamian Island is a great place to stroll around and unwind. The gardens that stretch down the main boulevard are a great place to wander and take in the sites of the island, and they’re especially popular for wedding photos. But the architecture is unique and really quite beautiful, and there are at least a couple sites worth hunting down. One of the first that you are likely to find is the French Catholic church, (露德圣母堂) located at Shamian da jie.

The 15th day of the first month of lunar year in China is Lantern Festival.
Also, we Foshan people have a tradition--walking through Tongji Bridge on this day. This tradition has a history of more than 200 years. And this bridge is having been standing here over 400 years. Only in Foshan, my friends.
Tong means removing the difficulties, Ji means helping the poor. So this is why the bridge is called Tongji Bridge.

On this day, every Foshan people including me, because I am a Foshan native, will hand a small windmill and a bundle of lettuce to travel around some central parts of Foshan and then walk through the bridge. The windmill implies wind and rain come on time. The lettuce implies earning more money. We are always wishing these beautiful things.

At 10pm this day, we start it. We prepare our windmills and lettuces and begin traveling about 4000m and then arrive and walk through the bridge. Do not look down the 4000m, my friends, because it is hard to finish it in a short time. People from all kinds of places will come here, so the big road will become smaller and crowded. You only can move 100m every 10 minutes, but you will not feel uncomfortable and bored. At this moment, people all are very happy, they not only can experience the boom of Foshan where they live for many years, but also can wish good luck for themselves and the people they love and growl loudly together. Even if it is crowded, people feel very happy and excited.I think it is a kind of happiness when having this with lots of people.

After a long long journey, we reach the bridge. The historical moment is coming--we are starting walking through Tongji Bridge!! At this most exciting moment, we laugh and take many photos when passing by the bridge, we finish it and the good luck is coming this year. When out of the bridge, we will throw our lettuces to the lucky pool meaning that we can make more money this year.
So far, this is over. If you are on the scene, you will actually feel the full-tasting atmosphere and will love it immediately.

The first day of 2014, we had a day off . We take it serious because this day means the one new year is really coming and we will have more good luck and money. Then we came to a wonderful place called Yuanxuan Temple  in Huadu district.

For me I especially like this kind of place with peaceful, sacred and imaginable atmosphere. Because when I was a little child, I always played many fairy stories computer games and watched many TV series like these. I was addicted to this to some extent.

Here you can see the Lao Tz bronze statue. You may wonder who is Lao Tz. He is a great person in ancient China. The Taoist School he set up has influenced millions of people in China including me. So this temple was built in the basis of him and his theories. Also you can see many god animal and figures of Buddha and lots of wonder views.
If you want to find momentary peace, here must be an excellent place, when you are here you will immerse in it as if you are in a real wonderland. If you want to know about Lao Tz, especially you should come. It must be a good choice.
