Bang Bang Festival starts on 15th of Chinese New Year in Lijiang. The festival is a market place of Naxi minority to buy wood made pieces, flowers, hand made works with bamboo, food, clothes etc. People dress in their traditional custom. The market last for one week. A very interesting place to visit.  

Yulong snow mountain the main peak,Shanzigou is at the altitude of 5.596m.the The temperate gliaciers on the Asia-Europe Continent which is near east to the equator shoppes here.

Yulong snow mountain is called "olu" in Naxi longuoge,which means silver rock,it is always covered with snow and on expensive chain of 13snow peaks looks  like a flying dragon, so called "jade dragon",and because the mountain lithology is mainly made up of limestone and basalt,it is also called "black white snow mountain,"yulong snow mountain ,the avatar of Naxi guardian god"Sanduo"in legend is a holy mountain of Naxi people.

There are rich Natural resources and human culture in yulong snow mountain,main developed scenic spots at present time are the glaciers park,ganhaizi,the blue moon valley,spruce meadow ,yak meadow,yushui village dongba valley,yuzhuqingtian,dongba gads'garden,dongba kind ow,jade peak temple and baisha mural.

Yulong snow mountain has been ranked as one of the national 5A scenic areas in the first batch appraisal.

Naxi is the major minority in Lijiang. The Jade Water Village can demonstrate their living. During the Naxi New Year, there is big celebration. The old DongBa carry out traditional celebration and the place is open to public free of charge. 

BaoShan Stone Village was found in early 12th centure by Naxi people. Village is build on a huge rock of half square KM on west bank of Yangtze River. 49 families live inside the stone wall and 116 families outside. Life is simple.

 

BaoShan Stone Village is 110KM north east from Lijiang, 4 hours by bus. You can take local bus from Lijiang city to get there.

Baisha murals are mostly from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Among the 55 existing murals, the largest one is at the Dabaoji Hall of Baisha. Most Baisha murals depict religious stories, and one characteristic is to combine several legends into one picture. They are an artistic Crystallization combining the Naxi, Tibetan, Bai and Han styles. The world famous Lijiang Fresco mixed the stories in Buddhism, Taoism and Lamaism into one picture.
