A Brief Introduction of Mr Zhu's Garden...
A Brief Introduction of Mr Zhu's Garden
Started to be built in the end of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty(1908), the Zhu's Family Garden was a large scale private mansion constructed by the Zhu Family in Jianshui. It covers an area of more than 20,000 square meters with a gross floor area of over 5000 square meters. The mansion has 214 total rooms and 42 courtyards of various sizes. Inside the mansion, there are different buildings like ancestral hall, Xiulou (the rooms for unmarried daughters), shops, waterside pavilions ,flowers hall, lotus ponds, bamboo groves etc. The courtyards and halls are arranged in neat orders and the halls are intricately designed to offer different views. Moreover, the numerous doors, windows, eaves, beams, columns, bases, rails, and screens all add to the beauty of the mansion. The scene changes as you walk around, and you may find too many beautiful thins to take in. All scenes are telling us the stories of ancestors and the Zhu's Family Garden is also called "the Grand View Garden of South Yunnan".
The mansion integrates many features of Chinese traditional dwellings, such as delicacy of Anhui houses, magnificence of Shangxi duildings and elegance of Suzhou gardens. It is not only concrete, but also spiritual;not only historical, but also cultural. When you step into the mansion, it will awake both your memory and your poetic flavor. Its history has gone but the influence is still on.
As a competitive tourist destination in Yunnan province, Zhu Family Garden has received thousands on thousands tourists at home and abroad after renovated for several times along with development of tourism in reform and opening-up. Did you ever doubt about the title “Twins”trip ? Haha ,actually it means my younger sister and me . And we are not twins .On the first day of our trip ,we arrived Kunming Changshui International Airport on May1 night .We ready to boarding . We walking hand by hand ,wear the same black T-shirt .There was a man next to us and he looked us again and again . Finally we heard : Wow ,they must be twins .We smiled , actually more like laughing . Haha . Because it’s the first someone said we are twins . To be honest , we are not looks like at all . I wear glasses , more fat than her, a little bit shorter than her . Dont ask me why I am shorter . Because I take care of her when she was young . I carry her ,take her to school .(Tearful ) . OK ,Joke . We love each other very much .
Day1 : We arrived Chengdu by flight on May1 night . The flight was ok except delayed .And we take taxi from Shuangliu Airport to our hotel . It takes us 50Yuan to our hotel .I think it’s cheaper than Kunming .Since Kunming airport is 25 km to Downtown .Our hotel is quite good ,I booked the hotel via Qunaer .It’s National Labor’s Day ,so most of the hotels are sold out before I reservation .
Day2: I am so shamed to say that we get up very late . We are tired ,haha .We skip the breakfast and take the bus to Jinli old town directly . The main road was super busy .Countless buses and cars ,and most important is countless tourists . We get off the bus two stops ahead . Because traffic jam there and I prefer walk . It’s was great to walk in the street .
So many tourists in Jinli old town . I was little sad .I dont like people waves . The old town was good except tourists ,but I am a tourist .That means I got nothing to say . We just walk along the street , but all the same commercial shops . Time for lunch ,but still so many people . I want to buy some snacks to full my empty stomach , but my sister told me, she dont have any desire to eat because she saw the ugly eating people . That makes her dont want to eat . But double west ,I want to eat since I am a foodie .Finally we decided have lunch around Dufu Straw house .We take taxi to Dufu’s house . Dufu is one of the famous poet in China history . I love ancient poem, so I read almost all the poems of Dufu .He had suffer from Anshi War in Tang Dynasty .He was poor and stay in Straw house in Chengdu .But for today , The straw house was big ,that means he is rich man if he live in New Era .Because the houses charge super higher and I cannot afford a straw house like his. So if Dufu live now , he is rich .haha . Dont you think so ? The old saying goes :Everything is coincident . We met our cousin in Dufu’s house .I was walking with my sis , I hear someone call my name with a familiar sound suddenly,I just turn back , It’s my cousin . Haha . And the funny thing is his girlfriends is one of my friends from High school . That was a lucky day .So we had a enjoyable trip with sis ,cousin ,friends in Dufu’s House . Basically ,I dont recommend to Dufu’s Straw house coz nothing to see there and the straw house in new re-builded . We need go to next spots based on our schedule . We say goodbye with them and take bus to Kuanzhai Alley .Wide and Narrow Alley . That was so great , I love her more than Jinli . Because Lijiang old town and many old towns in Yunnan is much more beautiful than Jinli . So I am not so fond in Jinli . But Kuanzhai Alley is great . It shows culture , local Chengdu slow lifestyle . I love it so much . I want to make many pictures here , the saddest thing is your accompany is not good at taking photos at all . We have to arrive our new hotel before 6pm since peak season. We afraid of the cancellation of the room .So we just take a taxi to hotel..Our new hotel is located in Chunxi road . Great location . We finish this day after dinner with my client Christine .My client Christine was hired me as a tour guide in Kunming . He said he had 4 days in Chengdu and will spend another 4 days there before he leave . I told him that my sis and I will go to Chengdu on Labor’s Day ,So he offered an invitation for dinner in Chengdu . I made an appointment with his guide Amy in Chengdu . She is a great guide with excellent accent of English . We had dinner together .It was great to met Christine again and Amy in Chengdu .
Day3: I brought the train tickets from Chengdu to Mt Qingchengshan last night . Because Amy told me all the train tickets were sold out .I just check and found a few tickets left. So brought the tickets in any cases .It’s my sis’s first time to take fast train ,she looks enjoy it. We all enjoy the view on the way .Chengdu is a great places with all the green trees and grasses . It’s much better than Kunming . That’s the reason why I like Chengdu very much . About 45 mins, we arrive Qingchengshan Station , we take the bus to Qingchengshan directly . Ready to buy entrance tickets ,I was struggling . Coz I am a licensed tour guide ,most of places are free for tour guide .The question is I dont know Chengdu . But I was afraid ,so we brought 2 tickets with our Students Cards .Haha ,Dont doubt ,I am a graduated student but I still keep my student card ,so I got the half price . I like Mountains , rivers ,.Especially the high mountain with long river ,match with trees and temples will be perfect .We walked along the trees .Take the cable car to the top of the mountain . I tried with my tour guide license and totally successful . I got free ticket for cable . I do like the mountain with temples . There are many Daoism Palaces on the top of Qingcheng shan . Qingchengshan is one of four famous Daoism temple in China .And I feel lucky to visit there .
After Qingchengshan ,we’d like to Dujiangyan Irrigation Dim .I know Libing ,who build the Dujiangyan Dim in Chengdu Plaint and beniit generations Chengdu people .It will start from Qin Dynasty ,it’s kind of masterpiece in China History . I am not interested in that ,even they charge 90Yuan as entrance ticket .After discuss with my sis .we decided I go inside first with my tour guide license ,if I go in successfully ,she will buy a student’s ticket and go in . Otherwise we will pass it . Finally ,successfully go in . We just walk around and she was tired . She dont like exercises and I juts back from my hiking trip .So I like walk ,walk a lot . We walk through Dujiangyan and went inside the old town . Looks like a old town ,but nothing interested for me . It so familiar with Lijiang old town but not that nicer than Lijiang old town .Still Commercial street . I realized Chinese tourists really like to buy something as a gift but worthless . So we didnt bring any gift for friends ,family . We finish our trip and take the bus to train station . But no tickets left . So sad . We confirmed many times and no more tickets . We have to take the black taxi ,car-pool with other people . Spend 3times of the train ticket to Chengdu . That was super sad and angry. But we had no way . I admit it . We take No1 subway to Tianfu Square ,where is the downtown of Chengdu . We enjoy the food there and walk home . Sweet home .
Day4: Today is super relax day for us . We went to Wenshu Temple , Wenshe is one of the goddess of mercy in Buddhism . We went there and many tourists there pray . They praying ,chanting . So do I .I pray for my family . I want to pray for me ,but i dont know which one I should pray . I need everything ,haha . First ,I want to be happy and healthy ,I want to have an great job even I had it now ,but i need it more successful. I need need my own house that I can decorated by myself .I need a room for my tea ceremony ..ect .Oh, I remember I chatted with my roomie Iris ,every times we talking about boyfriend ,start from boyfriend ,our ends still about boyfriend , That was bad and struggle .She want to marry this year . I hope her wish can come true even she dont have any candidates now . People has many desires but dont know how to control them . I dont want to be the kind of person .I restrict my desires ,I satisfied what I have now ,I try to control them with a great mood .So I didbt pray for myself . Juts for my family . I like old buildings.I saw some buildings around the Wenshu Temple . Oh ,Chengdu is famous for snacks . I told that i am a foodie , We brought the snacks set .There are 12 kinds of snacks .I tried ,but not so delicious . My sis dont want to waste those food and she finish all of the snacks .She loves that .We are getting tired for the old street .Then we walk from Wenshu temple to Chunxi Road . It’s around 4 km , we walk along the tunnel ,shopping area . We stay in Starbucks for a cup of coffee . That was so comfortable .One hour sitting in starbucks and relax . After that ,we go to Chunxi Road ,the big shopping mall . OK .We start to shopping .
Day5: Based on our plan ,we should go to Chongqing . I brought the train tickets online .Then we take taxi to the North railway station . It takes us 2hours to get Chongqing .We take the subway to our hotel first . I am so into the subway in Chongqing ,so does the bridges .I like Chongqing too . It called Mountain City ,Cuz go down and go up and mountainous .After check in, em ,our hotel is good location ,just way out of the tunnel . Easily to found it . Then we went to Ciqikou old town .It seems from Song Dynasty ,but still keep the same looking . Iris told me there is a quite famous snakes there , I brought 5 bags for my family and friends .Chen’s Mahua . I dont know the English name ,but Chinese name will be more meaningful . I sort of like the old town there .Because I got 2 best photos from that old town . We spend 2 hours there and take the same subway back . I feel doubtful ,so many people in the subway ,there is no seats .........I am t5ired and i need a seat . We go back to the same direction of our hotel ,but we didnt get off in our hotel station ,we went to Xiaoshizi., where is famous for Chaotianmen . The Jialing river and Changjiang river meet .We walk on the bridge and it’s 1200m, for round trip it’s quite a lot . I really enjoy the view and the river .My sis is afraid of height ,she cannot stand by the armrest. She was totally tired . Chongqing is famous for hotpot .My sis ask me to have hotpot for dinner . We walk again from the riverside to downtown area ,Jiefang Table .Wow ,the downtown is so grand and prosperity .It’s super than Kunming .I saw my favorate actor in an Ad board , Miller ,who acted the Prison Break . The re are many tall buildings there .I noticed a hotpot restaurant in a alley ,I recommend that one by my instinct . We totally dispointed . Those people there are rude and loud . They ignore us and the price is higher than our lunch . Our lunch is Steak and Pizza . How come ???
Day6:I was wake up by the noise from the street . I was so angry . We packed our luggage and keep in our hotel lobby ,then walking around before we heading to airport .We fetch luggage and take subway to the airport directly . Then check in waiting for flight .The saddest thing is our flight was delayed again . Oh ,hell no .
Our trip ended ,we are so happy because it’s the first trip with my sis .And we gonna arrange a trip to Thailand . We looking forward to it .

Silver Fox Cave is about 70kms from Beijing city proper. It is one of the main scenic spot of the water-eroded caves found in west Beijing. Silver Fox Cave was discovered by chance in July 1991. It is on the site of a small village-run coal pit that is still operating today. Local miners used to put debris such as rocks and earth into a hole they had dug there. To their surprise, the hole never seemed to fill up. Therefore, a miner scooted down the hole and discovered the cave. Since there is a fox-shaped snow-white calcite crystal which is very rare and precious, therefore, the cave got the name Yinhu (Silver Fox). This multilayer karst cave is luxuriantly a wonderful spectacle. The winding cave is about 5,000 meters (5,470 yards) long, and nearly 3,000 meters (3,280 yards) is open to tourists.
More than 90 distinctive sights have a dazzling effect on your eyes. In the cave, there are uncommon various stalactites, white stalagmites, grand stone pillars, asbestos, shining stone waterfalls. In addition, rare crystal stone grapes, brilliant stone pearls and glittering calcites are seen here. A remarkable amount of various stone flowers are scattering in the cave. The meandering underground rivers penetrate as deep as more than 100 meters (328 feet). Tourists can boat on the clear and winding waters. It is asserted that the water is a natural mineral of high quality with many beneficial microelements.
The river is so clear that you can see to the bottom, identified as the high-quality natural mineral water through being national-level, because flow through the magnet mineral deposit and become natural magnetized drinking water, have obvious antiinfectious sterilization functions.
A simple tramcar inside the cave may be taken instead of walking, and the waterway adventure games make the trip more interesting. About 2,000 meters (2,190 yards) inside the cave lies Beijing's first underground music bar in karst caves, which offers a pleasant place for tourists to rest.

Ancient Chinese coins are markedly different from coins produced in the west. Chinese coins were manufactured by being cast in molds, whereas western coins were typically cut and hammered or, in later times, milled. Chinese coins were usually made from mixtures of metals such copper, tin and lead, from bronze, brass or iron: precious metals like gold and silver were uncommonly used. The ratios and purity of the coin metals varied considerably. Most Chinese coins were produced with a square hole in the middle. This was used to allow collections of coins to be threaded on a square rod so that the rough edges could be filed smooth, and then threaded on strings for ease of handling.
Official coin production was not always centralised, but could be spread over many mint locations throughout the country. Aside from officially produced coins, private coining was common during many stages of history. Various steps were taken over time to try to combat the private coining and limit its effects and making it illegal. At other times private coining was tolerated. The coins varied in value throughout the history. Some coins were produced in very large numbers—during the Western Han an average of 220 million coins a year were produced. Other coins were of limited circulation and are today extremely rare—only six examples of Da Quan Wu Qian from the Eastern Wu Dynasty (222–280) are known to exist. Occasionally, large hoards of coins have been uncovered. For example, a hoard was discovered in Jiangsu containing 4,000 Tai Qing Feng Le coins and at Zhangpu in Shaanxi, a sealed jar containing 1,000 Ban Liang coins of various weights and sizes, was discovered.
