The pagoda, called stupa in Sanskrit, usually refers to a tall and monumental structure. They are originally built to keep sacred relics of Buddha, and are located near or within a temple. The 53-meter high Zhenru Pagoda, which is translatable as Thusness Pagoda, was built in 1999. It is the first pagoda built in the last century of Shanghai’s history and is currently the landmark of Zhenru town. The multi-eave pagoda is ten stories above the ground and has an underground palace used for enshrining sacred relics of Sakamuyi. The pagoda is located on a big granite platform, leading to the ground by four staircases and surrounded by stone fences. Eight stone relief images of Bodhisattvas were carved on the external façade of the ground floor of the pagoda. A five-meter corridor has been built around the pagoda for the sake of Buddhists, who come to worship and circumambulate the pagoda. Inside the Pagoda, there are Buddha statues on each side of the walls from the 3rd layer to the top layer, as well as wooden-carvings of stories describing Sadhana’s visits of 53 masters.

Built in the Tang dynasty, Dongsi Tower and Xisi Tower were one of the most ancient towers in Yunnan province. In the Ming  dynasty,Dongsi Tower and Xisi Tower were  ruined by earthquake and war successively.Then in the Qing dynasty,people rebuilt them.

It is located at West Street of Xi'an ,less than 1km away from Bell Tower and 33m in height, it was built in 1380. A huge drum is placed in the tower, which is used to beat time at dusk. Bell tower and Drum tower are considered to be sister towers, and the scene of ringing the bell and beating the drum is known as "the Morning Bell and the Dusk Drum".

Located in the center of Xi’an, it is a superb piece of Chinese ancient wooden architecture.Built in 1344 during Ming Dynasty, 36m in height, the tower has three layers of eaves outside and only two stories inside. A huge bell placed in the tower is used as a timer and an alarm in emergency situation.

In front of Eight Immortals Nunnery, there is antique market each Sunday，hundreds of antiques are sold in the little shops and on the ground by local pepoles. It sounds a little noisy with seller and buyer’s talking and bargaining, but it’s very fun to know local antique-lover’s life. The nunnery was originally part of Xingqing Palace remains built in the Song dynasty. The nunnery, also named “Eight Immortals Palace”, is the largest Taoist temple in the ancient city of Xi’an. The grand temple fair is held annually from April 14 to 16 in Chinese lunar calendar, attracting prayers from the whole city.
