Lao Men Dong is located to the east of Zhonghua Gate in the southern part of Nanjing. It is nearby the tourist attraction - Qinhuai river. It used to be one of the most bustling areas in Nanjing in the old days from the six dynasties onward.  It was the dwellers from all walks of life, i.e. different kinds of craftsmen, businessmen, writers, poets, generals, government administrators etc. that made it one of the busiest neighborhood in Nanjing.

Now it has been developed into a showcase area dedicated to the fascinating street life. You can find very local snack bars, gift shops, cafes coupled with historical houses, and circled in by the Ming city wall at the southern end. It is a good location to chill out with friends against the backdrop of old neighborhood in southern Nanjing.

The lion mountain is also called Gemu Godess mountain , Gemu Goddess is kind-hearted, she always ride on a white horse, she protect mosuo people from disaster and Bless farmer a  good harvest . she is also The god of love and God of reproduction of Mosuo people.

July 25th in Chinese Lunar Calendar is an important festival of Gemu Godess,  Mosuo peple will hold a grand mountaining worship festival, mosou language called "Gemu Gua", meaning " mountain pilgrimage worship".  today early in the morning,mosuo people are all put on a new dress, fitted beautiful costumes, they will prepare delicious food and good wine, Then  climb to a holy cave of Gemu mountain, burn incense , provice sacrifice, burn incense and  pray the mountain godess.

This is considered an important holiday and festival. besides worshiping Goddess Gumu, they also worsip the god of heaven and earth, the sun god, the water god . The party activities Including singing, dancing. 

Jade Dragon snow mountain, a 5- A level of  scenic attraction in China.  Its the highest mountain of Yunling mountain range. with a hight of 5596m,  Its 35km long,  13 peaks are above 5000 meters.  It looks like a holy flying dragon when you see it from its west side and East side. the Best season to See the mountain is Oct to April.
