This Hakka Cluster belong to Xu Family who operate in paper industry. Composed by 5 round buildings and 10 squre buildings. The oldest one is built in 1419, the youngest one is built in 1979. Many Hakka houses in Fujian Province. This Hakka Cluster belong to Zhang family, built in Ming Dynasty from 1549-1555. Few tourists know this place, it shows you the true daily life of Hakka people and Hakka cultural. It is a good choice for the person who is boring with the busy place and want to see the authentic Hakka house. Built in late Qing Dynasty by oversea Chinese who returnef from philippines. It is largest minnan folk house cluster which is best preserved in Fujian Province. Its elegant wood carving, stone carving, brick carving arts are architecture treasure. Calligraphy left on the wall show the philosophy of Confucianism

Mr. Huang Xiulang was a millionaire in Philippion and government officer in China in 19 century. The two-layer roof also is the symbol of the owner's status. About 1 hour from Xiamen to Haimen Island. This a totally natural fish village where haven't commericalized. Cows enjoy grass on the meadow as they wished, fishmen fish on the sea by boat, egret birds join them at some time, mangrove are better protected here. The most amazing thing is the massive tradition houses are better reserved. The red colour building and up-turned corner of roof, and beatiful handcraft decoration on the wall, roof and window may catch your eye
