Singapore's Changi International Airport, covering an area of 13 square kilometers, 17.2 kilometers away from the city. Changi Airport is a major civilian airport in Singapore, but also an important aviation hub in Asia. Code words for SIN.

Since it was opening in 1981, Changi Airport has been reputated for its quality services to the aviation industry, and won over 280 awards in 1987-2007, which in 2007 won 19 best airport awards


Singapore government in order to build a new airport in the Changi area launched a huge reclamation. they used 12 million cubic meters of soil to fill about 2 square kilometers of wetlands, and another 40 million cubic meters of sand and gravel, paving the sea around Changi. The project Add a very large building space for the new airport. According to reports, half of the total area of Changi Airport is located in the reclaimed land.


Changi Airport is connected with the Singapore subway , the location of the Changi Airport station underground is  between No.2 Terminal Building and the undercontruction Terminal.

Chinatown Complex Food Centre is conveniently located in the heart of Chinatown. Being the largest food centre in Singapore with over 260 food stall. Stalls selling hawker food are offered at affordable and reasonable prices.

In this food centre, there are traditional roasted rice rice, Hokkien style fried prawn noodle, fresh tasty fish soup, delicious porridge, traditional roasted chicken, Chinese poh piah (spring roll) and Thailand style spicy tom yum rice noodle, chilli crab, black pepper crab, BBQ chicken wings, satay, carrot cake and char kway teow,

Ever wanted to delve deeper into the daily life of a local? This off the beaten track tour will explore the various places that a typical Singaporean goes to.

Although Singapore is a modern country and a cosmopolitan city, the Singaporean lifestyle is unique in its own way. A mix of modern and traditional cultures and everything else in-between creates a colourful Singaporean daily life that few visitors get to experience.

You will have the opportunity to visit the following (not necessarily in order):

- public housing in the heartlands

- wet market, hawker centre (lunch) and neighbourhood shops

- introduction to public transportation

- drive through a local university and learn about the local education system

- waterloo street pedestrian mall

- visit the central business district

- Lau Pa Sat festival market

  • This tour involves some walking and not all sites are handicap-accessible. Please advise during booking if you require any special assistance.

Tour Price:
Tour price is US$180 for a minimum of 1 person to a maximum of 3 persons, thereafter, each additional person will be charged US$40.

Included in the price:
Pick-up and drop-off at hotel with sedan transfers (max of 3 persons) or minivan transfers (more than 3 persons).

Additional information:
- This tour is conducted in English, however I also have basic knowledge of Mandarin and French.
- A subway train ride is optional and train ticket price in not included in the tour price.
- Local delights at the hawker centre and Lau Pa Sat are optional to try and are not included in the tour price.
- The tour pick-up is at 10am and ends with the drop-off at your hotel around 7pm.
- Meals, such as lunch and other incidental costs are not included in the tour price.

Half Day Tour - Chinese Heritage Trail

The ethnic Chinese make up about 74% of Singapore's population, with their ancestors coming from various provinces mainly in southern China. Chinatown in Singapore is where the Chinese first settled in the past, and yet today, it is still a lively and colourful place that maintains much of its traditional character.

This 2 and a half hour walking tour brings you on a exploration into the touch-points in the life of early Chinese settlers as well as taking a peek into how modernity has found its way into Chinese practices.

Some of the places visited include:

  • one of the oldest Chinese temple in Singapore
  • unique shophouses and the businesses located in them
  • a wet market and food centre
  • a traditional chinese medical store

As this is a walking tour and not all sites are handicap-accessible, please be prepared to walk a fair bit and please advise during booking if you need any special assistance.

Tour Price:
Tour price of US$65 is for a minimum of 1 person to a maximum of 3 persons, thereafter, each additional person will be charged at US$15.

Included in the price:
Pick-up at hotel or any arranged location within Singapore. Drop off not included. Tour ends in Chinatown.

- You may choose from following pick-up times: 9.00am, 12.30pm, 4.00pm. This tour is approximately 2 and a half hours from pick-up time.
- Please note that for the 12.30pm and 4.00pm tours, the wet market may have limited stalls open and so we may spend lesser time at the wet market and more time at other sites within the tour.
