8:30am: we start from Zhengzhou,

10:30am: we arrive at our first destination, Longmen Grottoes, then we start visiting in Longmen Grottoes, and stay there for about 2 hours,

12:30am: we finish the sightseeing in Longmen Grottoes, and start to go to Shaolin Temple,

13:00pm: we stop for lunch,

14:00pm: we arrive at Shaolin Temple, then start visiting in Shaolin Temple, the same as in Longmen Grottoes, maybe 2 hours,

16:00pm: we finish the sightseeing in Shaolin Temple, and then start to go back to Zhengzhou,

18:00pm: we come back to Zhengzhou, finish the day's visiting.

The detailed itinerary:

Pick up from your hotel or train station in Zhengzhou.

First , drive  to Shaolin Temple.It takes about 1.5 hour by expressway.

Shaolin Temple was established in 495AD by Emperor Xiaowen in Beiwei Dynasty for the purpose of housing the famous Indian monk, Batuo, the ancient capital for spreading Buddhism at that period. 

After Shaolin Temple,take lunch at KFC or Macdonald near the Shaolin Temple.

Then drive to longmen Grottoes,located in Luoyang,about 80Km takes 1.5 hour.

It is one of the three most valuable Buddhist cave and rock carvings in China. The grottoes

were first carved during the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534), when the rulers relocated

their capital from Datong to Luoyang at the end of the 5th century.

After longmen Grottoes,drive U to train station or hotel in Luoyang or Zhengzhou.

Upon your arrival in Luoyang, our local guide and driver will meet you at the railway station and take you to the Longmen Grottoes, a treasure house of ancient stone-carving art with over 100,000 stone statues varying from 2 cm to 17.14 m high. After lunch we will start heading towards the famous Shaolin Temple (approx. 2.5 hours drive) that is known for Shaolin Kung Fu. You will have a chance to witness the real Kung Fu performed by Shaolin monks. Shaolin Temple is famous not only as one of China's most important Buddhist temples but also as the center of Chinese Kung Fu. First constructed in 495, the temple was mainly designed to accommodate Batuo, a famous Indian monk. When you arrive in Xi'an, our driver will pick you up at Xi'an North Railway Station and transfer you back to your hotel in Xi'an.
