Laozhai Hill in Xingping, Yangshuo

Hiking is another hot activity in yangshuo. To make this trip, you can just slow down your pase for the beautiful scenery.

You can chose either to hike along the Li River from Yangdi ending up in Xingping which it is the highlight of the whole river, or to hike along the Yulong River. Each of these has different features which i personally think there is no comparasion.

The green in the countryside exactly offer us the peace and make day there we want. Take some snacks and water with you, maybe your swimming suites if you come in summer time. Make your stop and enjoy our trip.

This tour gives you the opportunity to observe daily life of various minority groups of GuangXi province. For several days we will travel from Li river to the mountains of LongSheng. 

We will witness unique fishing methods, experience local customs and watch the daily life of local people.

Day 1 - Riding Yulong valley

We start from Yangshuo and head toward YuLong river valley. We make our way to Fen Long village, cross Jinbao river and ride along rice fields and lotus ponds to Yulong river. We stop for a while in an open cave and then continue our journey deeper into the valley. When we reach Caoyang village we will cross the Yulong river and stop for lunch at one of the local restaurants. After lunch we head back to the river, leave our bikes and get on bamboo rafts. We will cruise down the river for about two hours. Our bikes, meanwhile will be transfered to the Gongnong bridge. From the bridge we ride back to Yangshuo.

Day 2 - Fisherman's towns

We will take a local bus to YangDi town, where we will take a motorized raft to XingPing town. We will spend some time in XingPing, walking around old town, tasting local cookies and dishes.We will take local bus to Yangshuo.

Day 3 - Old road/Tea plantation/Stone village

We will drive tuk-tuk old picturesque road to PuTao. On the way we will stop at the Yangshuo tea plantation to learn about tea harvest. Continue to the Stone village which is not just interesting example of dry stone architecture, but also part of JingJiang Prince Mansion.

Day 4 - Rice terraces

We will leave Yangshuo and drive up north to LongSheng rice terraces. Different people, wooden houses and long hair... We will stay one night there.

Day 5 - SanJiang

Today we will drive to SanJiang bridge and Bell tower. We will stay with local family learning the local customs of Dong and Miao minorities.

Day 6 - Congjiang

We will drive to Congjiang village - the only place men still keep Qin dynasty hair style and use gun for hunting.

Day 7 - Zhaoxing village

Zhaoxing village - home for Dong minority. The biggest Dong village in Guangxi province.

Day 8 - Guilin

Drive back to Guiln - transfer to airport

we will visit Moon Hill, Banyan Tree Park, Dragon bridge, Yulong river and Jiuxian old village.

The Moon Hill, climb up to the top of the hill via the stone stairways to see the panoramic view of countryside.

Yulong River is the biggest branch of Li River in Yangshuo, The pretty Yulong River is said to rival or even beat than Li River in terms of beauty.

Day 2:   Yangshuo---Xingping---Huangyao old town---Hezhou Hotspring Hotel.   stay in Hot Spring Hotel.

Visit old town Xingping, Cruise in Li River in Xingping part. 

It is the oldest town with 1300 years history in the north of Yangshuo as well as the center of Yangshuo until the setup of Yangshuo in 590 A D. The old streets are paved in rocks, and the houses are made of stones with gray tiles.

Cruise for about one hour and an half to see the most scenic section of Li River.

then drive to Huangyao old town,  it is well-know due to many Chinese movie shot here, over 1000 years history with aged beautifu banyan trees, towering peaks, crystal clear waters, elegant old buildings with blue bricks and black tiles.

Day 3:   Hezhou Guposhan National Park ---Huzhou Stone Forest--Yangshuo.stay in Yangshuo Magnolia Hotel

Guposhan National Forest Park is located in the northeast of Guangxi, Hunan, Guangxi and Guangdong Provinces at the junction of Meng Zhu Guangxi Hezhou side in Lingnan , is only 21 kilometers away from the Hezhou town.

A total area of 8000 hectares, with a peak height of a deep valley, majestic mountains, lush forests, abundant flora and fauna, waterfalls trickle fly river, the environment elegant and other characteristics. 

Many movies from Hongkong shot in this scenic spot. You will find the beautiful mountains, waterfalls, green land, green trees etc.

Hezhou Stone Forest, situated in Huangtian Town, Babu district,18 kilometers away from the city of Hezhou, occupies an area of 25 hectares with then 100 attractions covering 13 kilometres.

The Stone Forest began to take shape about 500 millions years ago. Due to geological rift and rise about 100 millions years ago, constant karst osmosis and the mining of tin ore for more than 1,000 years, jagged rocks of grotesque shapes, stalagmite, stone pillars, gesosynclines, funnels and blind shafts are scattured here and there in the scenic spot, forming various natural wonders such as Funneled Geosynclines, Natural Rift ,Age-old Camel, Natural Dogs Savouring the Moon,Passageway in the Ail, Haven of Peace.

Hezhou Stone Forest is a fairyland as picturesque as the world-famed Stone Forest in Yunnan Province.

Day 4:    Transfer to Guilin airport for departure.
