Dujiangyan and Qingcheng are the among the most visited places in my tours.
I know most of the travel agents do the one day tour combining the 2 places together,
but what I am doing are quite different from others.
Qingcheng Mountain:
Other tour agents: take people to the Qingcheng Front Mountain,an easy accessable
mountain with lots of Taoist Temples(mostly rebuit after 2008 earthquake) but very crowded
with bus tours.
I only take people to the Qingcheng Back Mountain,to reach there,we have to driver over
the Front Moutain, and then do a lot of hiking in the mountain to visit the pretty landscape,
villages and temples. It's a full day tour.
Dujiangyan Irrigation System,
Other travel agents, they enter the Irrigation Park fron the front entrance, take a tram ride along
the river, see the river diverting point(Yuzhui) and the dam then return back, finish too fast and very boring.
For me, that's only 25% of a complete tour to that area,Dujiangyan is so rich in culture heritage, the history,
the multi religion, the architectures, the great nature, you should not miss any of them when you are there.
Therefor I am doing the Dujiangyan Tour in a much complicated way in the below order.
Walk around the Dujiangyan Old Town(Guanxian Xijie) first, the town has a lot to offer,Confucius temple,
Taoist Temple, Muslim mosque in Chinse Tradtional style, ancient street, tea houses along the river with a
very relaxing atmosphere...
Drive to the Yulei Mountain, enter the Irrigation Park from the Qinyanlou where you could have a best
bird view of the entire Irrigation System(the nature river, the dam,the cannal, the temples on the mountain
side and the beautiful surrounding mountain range).
Walk down from the Qinyanlou to the River, visit all the Taoist temple on the way(temple of Laozi, temple
of Two King, temple of Dragon King....),
Cross the bridge over the cannal and walk around the dam, then drive along the river going upstream to
the Hongkou Nature Reserve inside the mountain range,it's one of the home mountain range where the
Giant Pandas are inhabited, you might not be able to see a panda in the wild as according to a recent research
there are less than 13 Pandas in Hongkou Panda Habitat Reserve, but it's still a great chance to see
what the panda nature home looks like, and visiting of the pretty nature & peaceful villages in the mountain enable to
clean your lung after you have beening travelling to some badly polluted big cities in China.
The winding mountain road climbing up to the altitude of 1400 meter, straight up from the river, with a big
" WOW" landscape.
The mountain range is also part of the nature boundary between mainland China and Tibetan Plateau.
You see I show far more than other guides do, as a tour guide it's my value to make my clients doing something
different and deeper from common tourists. so if you have two days you could do both of "Haba's Qingcheng Back
Mountain one day tour" and" Haba's Dujiangyan one day tour". If you have only one day, take either of the day
tours.
For the price of day tours are,
Qingcheng Back Mountain one day tour: 1400Yuan in total for 2 people
Dujiangyan One day tour:1500Yuan for 2people in total
The cost includes tour guide, driver, car+fuel+toll fee, please be noted entry fee and food are not included.
