Mount Qingcheng is a mountain in Dujiangyan, Sichuan, China. It is amongst the most important centres of Taoism (Daoism) in China. In Taoist mythology, it was the site of the Yellow Emperor's studies with Ning Fengzhi. As a centre of the Daoist religion it became host to many temples. The mountain has 36 peaks. It is home to Dujiangyan Giant Panda Center.

Built before 256 B.C ,  Dujiangyan Irrigation System is one of the three largest projects in ancient China, but the only one which is still working, as the other 2( Great Wall and Beijing-Hangzhou Canal) are not used any more.

Located at the east edge of the Tibetan Plateau, this Irrigation System has been preventing Sichuan Valley from flood and bringing water to every piece of farmland in the valley since it was built. Thanks to this, Sichuan valley became one of the most productive and safest place in all China known as Tianfuzhigou (Heavenly Kingdom).

Not only huge ancient dam, fresh glacier water and rapid canals, walking along the irrigation system, you will also see the most picturesque scenery around Chengdu,combining green mountain range, temples of different sorts of religions(Taoism,Confucianism and Islam) and ancient town.

Hiking in the Yulei Hill by the Irrigation System along the ancient China-Tibetan Tea and Horse Road, it gives one a strong feeling of going back to ancient days, when nature and human were in such a great harmony.

Dujiangyan is an irrigation infrastructure built in 256 BC during the Warring States period of China by the State of Qin. It is located in the Min River (Chinese: 岷江; pinyin: Mínjiāng) in Sichuan, China, near the capital Chengdu. It is still in use today to irrigate over 5,300 square kilometers of land in the region. The Dujiangyan along with the Zhengguo Canal in Shaanxi and the Lingqu Canal in Guangxi are known as “The three great hydraulic engineering projects of the Qin dynasty”.

located 2km away from Mt.Qingcheng , about 1 hour 20 minutes drive from Chengdu to Dujiangyan Panda Base . in the morning you can do the panda volunteer work from 8:30-16:00, and you can also hold a panda for photos here . apparently, Dujiangyan panda base is not so crowded as Chengdu panda base . and more natural
there are around 20-40 Giant pandas, and some red pandas .

at around 12:00 lunch time you will finishe the panda base . drive about 30 minutes to Dujiangyan city for lunch .
in Dujiangyan Panda base you can take photos with pandas , need to be booked in advance , price is 1800 rmb

in Dujiangyan Panda base you can do panda volunteer work such as feeding the pandas , clean the cages need health examination to prove you have no infectious disease . from 8：30-16:00 , price is 700 rmb

The Panda Valley is located is the Qingcheng Mountain range,50 km away from Chengdu.

The valley is the training base to develop  their survival skill in the wild.  On Jan 11st, 2012

 6 pandas from Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Base were the first trainees in the

valley, after a long term training,they will  be released to the wild.

Returning pandas to the wild requires long term adaptation and training. The China Panda valley in Chengdu is the newest transitional training area, providing a safe environment for the endangered bears to develop their survival skills.
This Panda Valley is located deep in the mountains of China's Sichuan province, full of pandas' favorite food, bamboo. The 6 giant pandas have been released here, but they're not on their own yet. They need to develop several survival skills before being released into the wild.
