SongZanLin Temple

   Lijiang-Shangrila-Meili Snow Mt.-Derong-Xiangcheng-Yading-Daocheng-Litang-Yajiang-Xindu Bridge-Seda-Danba-Rilong-Chengdu

Day 1 & 2 Arrive in Lijiang for 1 or 2 days, so your body would slowly get more used to higher altitude. Altitude in Lijiang at 2400 meters.

Day 3 Drive 2 hrs to Tiger Leaping Gorge, then another 2 hrs further up to Shangrila, the first Tibetan stop in Yunnan. O/N Shangrila, altitude at 3300 meters.

Day 4 Explore the beautiful country around Shangrila, take visit to Songzanlinsi Lamasery, Napa Lake and beautiful Tibetan Villages, then jump into Tianshengqiao Hotspring for a thorough bath, before taking our pilgrimage deep into Tibetan region. O/N Shangrila

Day 5 Visit the beautiful Pudacuo National Park. Then drive 210 kms to Meili Snow Mountain. O/N Feilaisi, Atitude at 3400 meters.

Day 6 Catch the sunrise over the Meili Snow Mountain, then drive 250 kms to Daocheng, passing by Big and Small Snow Mt., the Tibetan towns called Deqin, Derong and Xiangcheng, with beautiful stops for Tibetan villages, animals on the beautiful plains. O/N Daocheng, attitude at 3700 meters

Day 7 Explore Daocheng and surroundings. Catch the morning mist over Sela, and sunset over Daocheng River. Visit Haizi Mountain, where has a thousand lakes at different level, up to Xingyicuo Lake, at 4420 meters above sea level. Visit Gonggalanjiling Lamasery. Rubuchaka Hotspring if you like, altitude at 3747 meters. O/N Daocheng

Day 8 Drive 3 hrs to Yading, get best view of Echu Mt. on the way, and visit Luorong Yak Plain, the antient Chonggu Lamasery, Five Colors Sea, and Sanshen Holy Mountains. O/N Yading, attitude at 3800 meters

Day 9 From Luorong Yak Plain, hike or take horse up to Milk Lake and Pearl Lake. Then drive 3 hrs back to Daocheng. O/N Daocheng
 
Day 10 Drive from Daocheng to Xindu Bridge, which is considered to be the heaven for photographers. Along the way, stop to visit the beautiful Sandui Village, Litang (the highest town in the world), and visit the biggest Lamasery in the area, called Changchunkeer Lamasery. The main scenery today also includes vast plain of the high land. O/N Xindu Bridge, attitude at 3300 meters

Day 11 Drive from Xindu to Ganzi county town, then Seda, about 6.5 hrs drive. O/N Seda, attitude at 3800 meters

Day 12 Visit the Wuming Buddhism College, and Tibetan Sky Burial, then drive to Danba, passing Maerkang, Jinchuan, about 8 hrs drive. O/N Danba, attitude at 1900 meters

Day 13 Visit Jiaju Tibetan Village in Danba Valley, then drive 145 kms to Rilong. Hike or take horse ride along stream in the premitive Forest in Rilong, with the view of the Four Girls Mountains in the distance. And visit the ethnique Qiang and Tibetan villages. O/N Rilong, attitude at 3200 meters.

Day 14 Drive 230 kms from rilong to Chengdu, passing by Four Girls Mountain, Wolong, Yinxiu, Dujiangyan Dam, andd arrive in Chengdu, about 4 hrs drive. O/N Chengdu

  Day 1 Arrive in Kunming, can visit Green Lake and Bird and Flower Market if time allows. O/N Kunming

  Day 2 Drive 1.5-2 hrs to visit Stone Forest, about 1-2 hrs there, then lunch in a local tasty restaurant, then drive 1.5 hrs further to visit Jiuxiang Caves. Then drive 2.5 hrs back to Kunming. O/N Kunming

  Day 3 Drive 5 hrs or take day train (12:10-17:16) from Kunming to Dali. Visit the Erhai Park for very nice lake view, Dali Museam to get an idea about this antient cultural land, then Dali Old Town in the evening. O/N Dali

  Day 4 Drive 20 minutes to the tea plantation on the Cangshan Mt., where has got beautiful view of Dali area, and nice to walk around. Then we drive 10 minutes further to Xizhou, visit the daily morning market there, then walk around the local Bai People's residence, and take a horse carriage through the fileds to the lake area and some local hidden temple, for Bai people are very religious people and their worshipping to female gods are quite unique. Take a fishing boat to the lake to enjoy birds fishing show on the lake, then visit some local bamboo weaving family. Then drive 2 hrs to Shaxi. Visit Shibaoshan with  the Baoxiangsi Temple built up on a big roack, with wild monkeys as residence, and very beautiful stone carvings from antient times.  O/N in Shaxi.

  Day 5 From Shaxi drive 2.5 hrs to the premitive Laojunshan Mountain Jianchuan, where is very little developed and very few people would make it there. But it has got such beautfil nature, from premitive forest, mountain streams and lakes, azealea bushes, wild birds and flowers, as well as grssland for animals. The altitude varies from 2200  meters up to 4000 meters high. We can take walks on the wooden paved path into deep forest, along with the sound of streams and lots of wild berries and mushrooms. About 3-4 hrs up there, tHen we drive2.5-3 hrs to Lijiang. O/N Lijiang

  Day 6 Exlpore the Lijiang Old Town, Local Vege Market, Black Dragon Pool, Sanduoge Village for nice walk, Baisha, Shuhe, and Lashi Lake for horse riding and boating. O/N Lijiang

  Day 7 Visit Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, enjoy the amazing Impression show, Blue Moon Valley where the glacier water is naturally blue and green, and then cable car up to Spruece Meadow, or Yak Meadow or Glacier Park. O/N Lijiang

  Day 8 Drive 1.5 hrs to Tiger Leaping Gorge, visit the tourist site of the gorge, then hire a local minivan up to the Halfway Guesthouse along the hiking trail, where has breathtaking view of the gorge. We can do one hour walk futher to Fairy Waterfall on the flat path, and walk back another one hour. This is often the highlight for many people, but can be done only if people don't have hight sickness. Then drive down to meet our driver again, and drive another 2.5 hrs up to Shangrila, along with stops for amazing mountain views.

  Day 9 Visit Songzanlinsi Lama Temple, and Napa Lake for a walk through Tibetan villages. One choice for today is the Putacuo National Park, the first national park in China, where has got beautiful lakes, vast grassland with yaks and horses around, and primitive forest. Another choice is to visit the Dabaoji Temple area for beautiful country walks for 1-2 hrs, and enjoy swimming and sauna from the natural Tianshengqiao Hotspring. Night in Shangrila.

  Day 10  Fly from Qiqing Airport to your next destination.

D1: Lijiang--Tiger leaping Gorge-- Shangri-la

Morning driving to Shangri-la ,stop to visit the Stone Drum village and the first bend of Yangtze river ,then continue to the Tiger- leaping Gorge .

Have lunch at the gorge then we continue to Shangri-la. 

Arrival at Shangri-la . check in the hotel then visit the Turtle Hill .

Walking around the small old town .

Hotel Mountain Inn guesthouse ,is changed from Tibetan houses , very nice family owned guesthouse .

D2: Shangri-la---Lijiang

Visit the biggest temple in the region Songzanlin temple .

Then drive to visit one small temple in the mountain of the village Renhan.

Walk around and if you like you can visit one of the Tibetan family and taste the yak butter tea and the yak cheese.....

drive back to Lijiang.

D1: Kunming--Shilin--Jianshui

Pick up from hotel  in Kunming and drive to  Jianshui, on the way , stop to visit the famous world wonder Stone Forest.

Have lunch at Shilin then continue to Jianshui

On arrival at Jianhui, visit the city gate Chaoyang tower.

The rest of the day free time in the old town Jianhui.

Overnigh at Jianshui , Garden of family Zhu 3*  

D2 : Jianshui---Yuanyang

Visit the Jianshui Confucian temple.

Then drive to Yuanyang.

On arrival at Yuanyang, continue to the Laohuzui.

Come back to the city check in the hotel .

Overnight at Yuanyang,Yunti Hotel 3*

D3 : Yuanyang

Visit the terrace fields at Duoyishu .

Stop several viewpoints to see the terraces fields and some Yi minority village.

Depending the day,you can attend one local market .
Free time in the afternoon in the Minority square .

D4  :Yuanyang---kunming
Today we will have a long way back to Kunming ,on the way we can stop several villages as  you want.

Arrival at Kunming and free time in Kunming.

D5:  Dali

Take the morning express bus (8:30) from Kunming to Dali.

Arrival at Dali about 12:30 and  transferred to the hotel             .

Visit the Three Pagodas and the Chongsheng temple .

The rest of the day free in the old town.

D6: Dali---Shaxi

In the morning,visit the Xizhou village and Zhoucheng village . Depart from  Zhoucheng to Shaxi village , lunch on the way .Arrival Shaxi in the afternoon,visit the Shibaoshan grottoes and then we go down to Shaxi village by car .

The rest of the day time free to explore the old village, the temple near the market…

D7 : Shaxi---Tiger-leaping Gorge---Shangri-la

Morning driving from Shaxi to Shangri-la .

At noon stop to visit the Stone Drum village and the first bend of Yangtze River ,then the Tiger Leaping Gorge .

Have a lunch near the gorge and then continue to Shangri-la.

visiting the  Songzanlinsi Lama Temple in the afternoon.

Check in the hotel and then free for the the rest of the day in the Shangri-la old town.

D8:Shangri-la---Lijiang

Morning visit the Tibetan village near Rhingha Temple area, choose one family to visit and taste their butter tea and then drive to Lijiang

overnight at Lijiang ,   Zen Garden ( Wuyi yard 4*)

D9: Lijiang

Today visit the Black Dragon Pool park ,Donba culture museum . Yuhu and Baisha Naxi village.

Back to the old town and visit the Lion hill.

Time free in the afternoon in the old town for explore more about the Lijiang old town.
