It is designed to fulfill the dream of many trekkers of experiencing the historic route to the base of the world’s highest mountain. The trek along the Everest Base Camp is not only a trek to the Everest Region but also a great opportunity to capture the incredible beauties of the Khumbu region from the viewpoint called Kalapathar (5,550m). You can have a spectacular view of the world’s highest mountain Mt Everest (8848m) along with other eight-thousanders including Mt. Lhotse, Mt Makalu and Mt Cho Oyu from the Everest base camp but for the best view of these mountains, you have to climb up little to Kalapathhar. Along with the mountain views, this trek also helps you to know about the living style of the world-famous, successful and bravest climbers- The Sherpas. On the other hand, you can spend some time in Sagarmatha National Park watching the beautiful floras and faunas protected in the national park. The trek does not end up here; you can furthermore visit the local villages, many monasteries, enjoy the peculiar landscapes and the hospitality of Sherpas.
Here we have crafted 14 days Everest base camp trek day to day itinerary.

Day 04: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazar
We rest this day at Namche Bazaar to acclimatize to the new altitude, which is an ideal place to spend a rest day before heading off towards higher elevation. Instead of resting in your lodge, it is recommended that you stay active and mobile during the acclimatization day. A few hundred feet vertical treks during the day will help you properly acclimatize. Or rather you can spend the day exploring Namche Bazaar. The place is center of the Everest region and has plenty of lodges, tea shops, souvenir shops, ATMs, money exchangers, Internet cafes, government offices, restaurants, bakeries, etc. You can visit Visitor Center near the headquarter of the Sagarmatha National Park where you can observe an assortment of things allied to the first Everest ascenders, Sherpa culture and learn about the various flora and fauna of the Sagarmatha National Park. Surrounded by the snowy peaks of Kongde and Thamserku and the sacred peak Khumbila, Khumjung hosts a well-known monastery that houses a yeti scalp. You can also visit Hillary School at Khumjung. The trail takes you through terrain strewn with rocks, moraines, streams and a glacier. Reach Everest Base Camp, located in the middle of the Khumbu Glacier. Return to Gorakshep for an overnight stay.
If you can muster some energy and if the weather gods permit, we will hike up to Kala Patthar late in the afternoon to enjoy sunset. Please note that it's not easy to cover Gorakshep, Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar on the same day.
Day 10: Trek to Pheriche (4,210 meters) via Kala Patthar (5,555 meters) - 7 hrs walk
Head for Kala Patthar in the pre-dawn darkness, when temperatures are between -10 to -14°C. There is also a possibility of encountering strong winds along the way. You can see peaks like Lingtren, Khumbutse and Changtse to your east long the way.

Following the banks of Dudh Koshi River and crossing back many suspension bridges, we pass through forests and small villages, we make our way to Lukla which will be our final stop in Solukhumbu region. It easy to see why the trek to the base camp of Mount Everest has become one of the most well-liked trekking routes in Nepal.
We begin our trek from Lukla after a 30 minute flight from Kathmandu. When we land at that miniature airstrip of Lukla, the adventure really begins. During trekking, we spend several days moving through the homelands of the Sherpa people, and will see Buddhist monasteries in Tengboche, Panboche and close up views of Mt. Everest and adjoining Ama Dablam, measured by many to be among the most attractive mountains in Nepal. We spend two nights at Namche Bazaar, the bustling market town in the heart of Sherpa country, and at Pheriche see a cluster of houses set among the high summer grazing pastures of the region. We spend the time in Namche Bazaar exploring and acclimatizing, which is an important factor in your enjoyment of the trekking.
People who have fully acclimatized may trek to the Everest Base Camp but without doubt, for many people the main highlight will be the brilliant views of the Mt Everest, Pumari which clarify from the summit of Kalapathar - the extradinary ice sculptures of the Khumbu Glacier, Nuptse and the south-west face of Everest.
