Guilin Li River Theater

Your private guide will pick you up from your hotel in Guilin or yangshuo and drive you to Longsheng County in the morning, two hours northwest of Guilin.

Begin your private tour by visiting the villages of the Zhuang and Yao people, two of the ethnic minority groups officially recognized in China. Your guide will provide comprehensive information about the culture and traditions of the Zhuang and Yao. See their unique and colorful clothing, observe the women weaving and embroidering.

Climb up to the summit of the Longji Rice Terraces at an elevation of 2,886 feet (880 meters). A half-hour hike up offers an amazing panoramic vista of this incredible feat of farm engineering.

From the peak, you will see the terraced rice fields resemble the backbone of a dragon twisting and turning into the distance. The terraces divide the mountain into multiple layers. Tiers of water glisten in the sun during the spring, lush green rice shoots appear in the summer, layers of golden rice flourish in the fall, and layers of snow cover the terraces in the winter.

You will have your  lunch in a local restaurant after the hike. When you finished if time is allowable you can hike from pingan zhuang village to old minority zhaung village which takes 1 and half hours down.

In the afternoon you will be return more or less around 16:00, drive back to Guilin or yangshuo.

Day 1.   Yangdi To Xinping  (the most scenic section of li river)   5 hours hike   Stay in  Guilin
Transfer to Yangti town in the morning,Along the Li River side, enjoy peaceful green fields ,farms and villages with water buffalos, cows working or wondering around on both sides of the river bank. after around 4 hours hiking to Xingping, have lunch there, transfer back to Yangshuo in the afternoon.
Day 2.  Dragon Bridge to Xinglongzai Village    4 hours hike.   Stay in Yangshuo
Transfer to the Dragon Bridge in the morning by car, start around 4 hours hike, along Yulong River which is rival to the beauty of Li River and you will see rice paddies, farmhouses, green trees, bamboo groves, women washing clothes, ducks paddling on the water and towering pinnacles. It is really peaceful, idyllic and relaxed life. When get to Xinglongzai Village( the middle of Yulong River), have lunch there, then back to Yangshuo by car.

Maybe you do not want to appreciate the beautiful Li River on the big boat because it makes you feel a distance between you and the mountains and the river. Here we will take another transportation----the auto-motor bamboo-raft.

You will spend about 1.5 or 2 hours on the bamboo-raft. All the most charming view of the Li River is here. After the Li River, I will take you to eat the famous rice noodle at noon. Of course, the lunch is included in the fee.  In the afternoon,we will take bicycles to the countryside in Yangshuo.
