ITINERARY

OVERVIE:

Airport- Antananarivo- Antsirabe - Morondava - Belo/Tsiribihina - Bekopaka Tsingy of Bemaraha) - Kirindy forest - Morondava- Antananarivo

1ST DAY:  YOUR ARRIVAL IN ANTANANARIVO AIRPORT BY INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT 

• Get pick up at the airport upon your arrival and transfer to your Hotel.
• Overnight in the Hotel. Les relais des plateaux (Bed and breakfast)
• I will bring a label JEAN CLAUDE TOUR in hands when I welcome you at the airport upon your arrival

2ND DAY :  RIDE ON BOARD A PRIVATE CAR TO ANTSIRABE

• Meet your tour guide at your hotel at 7:30 am. Depart from the hotel at 8:00 am
• Around 11:00am, Stop by in Ambatolampy city for a short visit at the aluminium foundery, the main local business in the area. 
• Arrive in Antsirabe around 1:00pm and have lunch at ZANDINA RESTAURANT
• After lunch, drive to your Hotel
• Around 3:00pm, get pick up by your tour guide and have a city tour in Antsirabe to see the following: the public place of the independance avenue, the old railway office, the old cathedral and the biggest mineral market on board a rickshaw
• late in the afternoon, ride back to your Hotel
• Dinner in the restaurant
• stay overnight at le Royal palace Hotel (B&B)

3RD DAY: A LONG JOURNEY TO THE WESTERN REGION OF MADAGASCAR  TO REACH MORONDAVA CITY (450KM OF DISTANCE)

• Meet your tour guide at your hotel at 6:30 am. Depart from the hotel at 7:30 am
• Stop by in Betafo city and click pictures of the waterfalls
• stop by in Dabolava and click pictures of the gold mining site and the local people activities by doing the gold mining
• Stop by in Miandrivazo for lunch
• Around 2:00pm, depart from Miandrivazo and still have couple stops such as stop by at the longest bridge in the area over the famous Tsiribihina river and clicks pictures of the baobab trees growing along the road sides near Morondava
• Arrive in Morondava around 6:00pm
• Dinner in the restaurant
• Stay over night at Chez Le Renala sable d'or (B&B).

4TH DAY: HEAD UP  NORTHWARD TO BEKOPAKA (Tsingy de bemaraha) ON BOARD A FWD.

• Meet your tour guide at your hotel at 6:30 am. Depart from the hotel at 7:30 am
• Dive over the bumpy and dirt road 
• Stop by at avenue of baobab and click pictures of the scenery in the morning time
• Around 11:00am, cross a river of Tsiribihina  on board a ferry boat
• 12:oopm, arrive in Belo/Tsiribihina and have lunch in MAD ZEBU Restaurant
• After lunch, around 2:00pm, keep driving to Bekopaka village
• Around 5:00pm cross a river of Manambolo on board a fery boat
• Around 5:30pm, arrive in Bekopaka and direct to your Hotel
• Dinner in a restaurant
• Stay overnight at Orchide Hotel (B&B)

5TH DAY:  A FULL DAY TREKKING THROUGH OUT BIG TSINGY AND SMALL TSINGY

• Meet your tour guide at your hotel at 6:0 am. Depart from the hotel at 7:00 am
• Transfer to the park office to pick up the local guide fom the park
• Transfer to the Big Tsingy park national gate , 17KM from the park office, the ride duration  between the park office and the park gat lasts roughly 1 hour
• Around 9:00am, start walking inside the park and climbing the limestones mountains to reach the highest point to have the nice view of the whole scenery of the park. The trek lasts 3 to 4 hours
• walking over the suspension bridge
• Get insdie the broadway tral, an under ground tunnel of 2 km. You need flash light once you are inside
• Around 12:00pm. a break for a picnic lunch inside the park
• After the picnic lunch, ride back to the village of Bekopaka and direct to the small Tsingy gate for the second trek.
• Walking inside the small Tsingy during 1 to 1,30mn, seem to play a hide-checking inside the labyrinth
• During the trekking, the local guide will take you to the place where you can spot 2 species of lemurs and more bird species, the giant Madagascar coua lives in the dry forest of tsingy national park
• The both Tsingy, small and big are very spectaculars, incredible landscape, unique in the world and the classified as a world heritage.
• Around 5:30pm, transfer back to your Hotel
• Dinner in a restaurant
• Possible to have a massage in the Hotel on request 
• Have a sweet dream
• Stay overnight at Orchide Hotel (B&B)

6TH DAY: HEAD BACK TO MORONDAVA ON BOARD A 4WD.

• Meet your tour guide at your hotel at 7:0 am. Depart from the hotel at 8:00 am
• cross a river of Manambolo on board a ferry boat
• Stop again in Belo/Tsiribihina for lunch at MAD ZEBU
• Cross a river of Tsiribihina on board a ferry boat
• Keep driving to Morondava and
• Stop by at the baobab in love and click pictures of this amazing natural shape of the tree
• Click pictures of the 3 different species of baobab trees in the area
• Stop by at avenue of baobab to click pictures of the sunset through the giants baobab trees at the avenue.
• After sunset, slowly drive to Morondava
• Arrive in Morondava around 7:00pm
• Dinner in a restaurant
• Stay overnight at Chez Le Renala sable d''or (B&B)

7TH DAY: DOMESTIC FLIGHT TO ANTANANARIVO

• Depending on the flight schedule, the driver ensures the transfer to the airport and get pick up at your Hotel upon the given time
• Check-in at the air port
• Fly to Antananarivo
• Get pick up at the airport in Antananarivo and transfer to your Hotel
• Drop you off at your Hotel
• Stay overnight at Les relais des plateaux (Bed and breakfast)

• Please note, the activities on this day depend on the flight schedule between Morondava and Antananarivo. If the flight is scheduled in the morning time then, you can have a visit at croc farm near the airport upon your arrival in Antananarivo. And then, if the flight is scheduled in the afternoon, you miss the visit at the croc farm but you can have  a city tour in Morondava in the morning. The plans could be adjusted on place with both agreements (tourists and tour guide) .

8TH DAY: SHOPPING AT THE BIGEST ARTISANAL MARKET AND FLY OUT

• Arrange the time for having  souvenirs shopping at the biggest artisanal market. woods craft arts, cut stones, jewelries....etc
• Depending on your flight schedule, the driver from the Hotel will take you to the airport and you must be at the airport 2 hour prior to your flight departure

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

-Covid-19 pass is not mandatory at the airport

-If you stay less than 15 days in Madagascar, you do not pay any visa

-Most shops and business do not accept any foreign currencies, you have to use local currency (MGA) during the tour

-ATM machines are available in all big cities in Madagascar

-Never do your money exchange with the black markets in the streets  or at the car park near the airport. Do only your money exchange at the official banks

-when  you bring USD bills cash, make sure the bills are issued AFTER 2012. No money changer accepts any bills issued BEFORE 2012

-Hiring park guides are mandatory when you visit any parks in Madagascar. Both National Park and Private parks

-The hotels where you will stay during the trip have wifi mainly in the restaurant, except your Hotel in Kirindy forest lodge
