Madagascar is very known of its lemurs and the baoab trees. If you visit Madagascar for a week, you have to see the animals and trees which symbolize Madagascar. To see very close up the lemurs, I always advise my customers to visit Andasibe National park, Lemur's island in the eastern area of Madagascar through the rainforest and then, to Morondava in the western area of Madagascar, through the dry forest.
During a week trip, you have to see, at least, 7 species of lemurs and the 3 amazing species of the baobab trees.
Apart from these two main highlights of the tour, you will experience the life style in the country side of Madagascar and you will have opportunity to have direct contct with the local people.
During the journey, you will have to go through the amazing landscape in the highland, the eastern area of madagascar and the western area of Madagascar.
Please kindly be prepared that during this week tour, you have to drive over roughly 1700km, otherwise, if you want to shorten the distance, you can take a domestic flight between Antananarivo and Morondava.
During the year along, this tour is doable, regardless which season we are.

I would like to give you some names of the endemic animal which are currently critically endangered of extinction in Madagascar so I would like you have photos of them before it will disappear completely. Anyway, I never wish that will happen to our treasures.
Animal:
A species of tortoises (reptile) called flat tailed tortoise or the Pyxis planicauda.
A species of lemur called aye-aye (Daubentonia madagascariensis) or in English the long-fingered lemur
A species of carnivorous mammal called Fossa (Cryptoprocta ferox)
A species of nocturnal lizard or the uroplatus pahantasticus called satanic leaf-tailed gecko or eyelash leaf-tailed gecko or phantastic leaf-tailed gecko
A species of chameleon called brookesia the smallest chameleon in Madagascar.

The cold water the geyser is very unique sight in Madagascar. You can not find it anywhere else than in Analavory/Ampefy in Madagascar. It is situated at 5 hours driving westernward from Antananarivo. The best time to get to this location is earlier in the morning or late in the afternoon.
From Antananarivo, you drive to Ampsfy and will visit the biggest Lily's waterfall. On the way, you can have a stop at lemur's park to spot 5 species of lemurs very close up. Then, you have to stay overnight in Ampefy.
